From my trip to Austria in 2010 And from a day trip to Germany (Nesselwang) yes, this is the original Disney castle, next to Swan Lake
That's Neuschwanstein isn't it? The home of mad king Ludwig of Bavaria. The place where Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was partly filmed.
Thailand The Grand Palace, Bangkok Food market, Bangkok Cricket anyone?! Chiangmai Tigers at Chiangmai Elephant painting in Chiangmai
Excellent pictures painted by some very clever elephants Coral Island, off Phuket Lunch being.prepared while I lay in the sun The end of a busy day at Nai Yang, near Phuket Sorry, got carried away! Just found out how to use photobucket on my iPad. You have been warned ...
No I didn't. Only had two weeks and crammed a lot in just doing Bangkok, Chiangmai and Phuket. Next time!
I was amazed by those paintings. Did you have a tour guide who could explain to you that all of those paintings are 2D and the frames and statues were painted on?
Must have been great to sit down with the Tiger. I'd love to do that, amazing creatures. I hope they are well looked after. I'm off to Turkey in a few weeks. I think I'll take my back-up 7 year old Minolta dSLR rather than my new(ish) Canon 650D. We're on the west coast so no riots I hope!
Yes you have a Walkman with headphones and a pre recorded tour message you listen to as you walk round. Yes, the tigers are well looked after and only available for a couple of hours a day. They are hand reared but you have to have your wits about you still. Frightened the life out if me when it yawned and slapped his tail on the ground! Turkey is lovely. Look forward to seeing your pics
Thank you although I do confess I'm probably better at editing photos than taking them. The original files are not masterpieces at all, but I make them look so in Lightroom and Photoshop after It was a miserable rainy night in January. It is very rare to see one of Manhattan's main thoroughfares so empty but I guess I was at the right place at the right time. The amount of hassle I went throught to get this shot is unbelievable (for someone as impatient as me). Had to set up a tripod in the p*ssing rain, attach a remote shutter release, take about a dozen long exposures while wiping away the raindrops in between the shots until I finally got one good image. Then spent a good while editing it. It really takes time to produce something good! Ok to continue with travels... Giant's Causeway, Northern Ireland. Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, NI
