It's very rarely a sell out so I'd imagine you'll get tickets no problem unless it's against Sporting or Benfica. There are FC Porto shops in the city center where you can buy matchday tickets and Estádio do Dragão is easy to get to on the Metro.

Porto is an absolutely magical city though, you should definitely go. I'd recommend it to anyone.

If Porto aren't at home when you go there are so many clubs within a short distance as well. Of the 'bigger' clubs Boavista are from Porto and Vitória & Braga are a short train journey (an excuse to visit São Bento train station as well, easily one of the most beautiful train stations in Europe). Guimarães is beautiful as well so going to a game might be a perfect way of tying in a trip there.

Would have taken a point away at Braga going into the game. Gyokeres was trying a bit too hard to force it at times and I can’t believe I’m saying this but he looks much better with Paulinho on the pitch, not sure why we took him off so early

@Adz those are all great suggestions from Dunblane, Porto is a beautiful city. Obviously cooler in winter but it’s worth a visit anytime of year.

If you can’t get to Porto I’d definitely try and get to Boavista, they’ve started the season off really well and currently sit top. They’re still also the only side outside of the big 3 to win a league title since Belenenses in 1945/46 when they won it in 2001

Im really fed up with this league. What happened in the Porto game is so bad its not even funny and all signs are starting to point out a good old sabotage to the power cutting the feed to VAR. This is really awful and a league that is slowly decaying to its death. Just horrible

Not the most difficult opposition today but a nice 3-0 win nonetheless. Glad Gyokeres got himself a goal to settle his nerves.

Hjulmand has been a totally different player than the one I expected. He’s getting forward much more than I thought he would and he’s got a hell of a strike on him!

What the actual **** has happened to Boavista?

I thought they were in for a really tough season with the players they lost over the summer but they've started brilliantly!

I know! But sometimes with a smaller group and an extra motivation from everyone thinking you are doomed helps! They have a good base of experienced players like Makouta, Perez and their Striker is really good! Also Young players like Tiago or Malheiro who are really good and may give them a little financial help in the future.

I wish that was the case with Wolves.

Yeah Tiago looks great. Surprising because going off his stats he didn't have the best season at Leixões.

Braga will win the Champions League. Last minute Banza winner vs Real Madrid in the final.

Cheers mate, very informative. Portugal is one of the rare western european countries I haven't visited for football. Same as @Adz, would go to any ground. Portugal is proper football country, I'll have a good wherever I witness a game.

Well and truly cursed Boavista. Smashed 4-1 by Braga last night

Seemed harsh to give a second yellow for words by Perez, i think that sometimes players should be punished by this kind of behaviour towards the ref, but with so early in the game and Boavista just got the 1-1, seemed a bit harsh, they should have talked it over

Fun start of the season, the 3 big teams are all neck and neck, and we have Benfica x Porto this friday, could be a great weekend for Sporting with a draw or a Benfica win to isolate in the first place.

Yeah it’s been an interesting start! I still don’t think we’ve got the squad depth to mount a serious title challenge but if we can keep the core of our team fit who knows

Got away with one at the weekend! Tight win but 3 points nonetheless

Some awful officiating. Wasn’t a foul for their 2nd goal and we were very lucky to get a penalty to win the game. Unfortunately I think Adan’s time is coming to an end, he’s really dropped off in quality the past 12 months
