You can easily switch channels on Sky to avoid the ads but that's not possible on a streaming platform
Absolutely this for me. I don't pay extra for no ads, just prime. Don't see any difference to watching ITV player C4 or C5 catch ups.
With Sky, I have the programmes I like on record so I will always start them from record and never (where possible) watch live. If it's ITV or Sky then ill just watch something else on record, until about 15 minutes into the show and then I can skip all ads.
But you're not paying a subscription to watch ITV, C4 or C5 Thats my point, no subscription channel should be showing adverts during a program, full stop. Good luck when the now 30/60 second adverts turn into 3/4 minute ones.
I'm not saying they should, but I hardly notice them. I'm not paying the subscription to watch Amazon tv, I pay for prime because i save a load on delivery charges. Getting the movies and other benefits is a bonus for me because it would still pay off for me to be on Amazon prime regardless of getting them. So in my case I feel it is well worth it.
I getya, I too used to buy loads of Amazon, oh so easy, but then realised they're bloody rip offs haha. Most the stuff they sell you can get cheaper on eBay...Amazon is just sooo easy and convenient though.
Prime is better than Netflix atm for me. Clarkson's Farm, The Boys back soon and Fallout, which was quite good all better than anything Netflix is offering currently.
Just ordered 2x these Amazon sale sees 75% off £20 headphones hailed 'better than Apple AirPods' £9.98 cheaper with Prime (£19.99 each instead of £24.99), so I signed up for a month at £8.99, no brainer.
