Poor job by Joga, sorry buddy, but you let town drown. No replacements, or even modkills? You could have ended this days ago if you weren't willing to do either.
This was the key. Suspicion was built on me during a heaven phase, allowing us to manipulate a vote to Heaven that then took the heat off me for the next Hell phase. By the time Your vote sent RD to Heaven the game was too far gone for town (particularly with the low activity).
You did have me pegged, for whatever reason nobody else took it seriously. My defence of my actions was pretty weak and should've had me lynched. Unfortunately for you, you town read both RD and Steve. If Joga adds you to the scum chat you'll see that we were worried before this point, afterwards we just had to make sure neither me or SS were killed between the Heavening on Steve and RD. I'm not sure you did have SS pegged, or not as much as you may think. SS only became a scum read for anyone after the RD to heaven wagon, at which point we were already half way through our endgame plan of just forcing through votes at the last minute.
I think because some town weren't active, it was easy for me to gain town cred and bus Andy, and then easy for the others to push the RD to heaven vote over the line whilst I didnt touch the wagon. We did what we had to do but if town were more active they could have had a chance. It was too easy to manipulate with only a handful of town trying to figure things out. It was a good idea @Joga bonito but I think too many people dont bother playing if they find out they are VT, which is a shame. Definitely potential in doing a similar game with a few tweaks though. Still, thanks for running. Had fun myself.
@kaboose - the set up isn't mechanically scum or town sided (I won as town on another site). But yes, activity was disappointing. I sent out reminders but can't replace lots of players. Every game we have this. This isn't mafiascum where everyone posts 200+ posts each. In the end town didn't use their vote and voice (the only power they have), that's not my fault. There were obvious/outted scum who should have been pressured/lynched. Even Sgt Serious who tactically outted himself as a nonce was left to hide in plain sight. Some of the votes of scum being sent to heaven should have been highlighted to the group too. A town win here was possible. You just needed organisation and a plan. D8 heaven phase was obviously win or die vs the 3 last scum but there were a pitiful 1 or 2 votes from town, allowing scum to quickhammer effortlessly.
There was a flip every 24 hours. There were some very bad/suspicious/opportunistic wagons to analyse every day. There was lots of info. Even scum thought it was town sided
It definitely is town sided. Every time we accomplish our goal of sending one scum to heaven we lose more influence on the game, every time town accomplish their goal of sending scum to hell their control of the game increases. It's not our fault people were lazy and not strong enough with their convictions. For example: @kaboose you had me as a definite scum read but I don't think you ever tried to send me to hell, why not? This would have made Town's control of the game stronger and your authority as a strong town player stronger. Keeping me alive because you want to find out the unknown players alignments was foolish and lost you the game.
I hope it's not lost on people that we sent Josh to heaven and now he has to spend the rest of his days up there with three nonces
The most active townies were again killed off early which led to an easy scum victory. Lack of activity or interest in scum hunting, is very annoying.
The activity factor was the reason I didn't want to send kaboose to heaven. Frustrating game in that regard but I can see why Joga says it's good practice for scumhunting stripping power roles away.
I've been scum 3 times in a row now. I hate it! Have to pay far too much attention to hope you dont slip up lol.
