Who does everyone think will make the grand final. As a Leeds Rhinos fan I obviously hope Leeds get there and win it and my mate who I'm going with is a Hull Fc fan so for us a Hull vs Leeds grand final would be great. However realistically Castleford Tigers will make it they have been the best team all year round. Wigan and St Helens both still have a real chance of making it. A Cas vs Leeds grand final is more realistic with the Tigers unfortunately probably going to win it. Who does everyone else think will make it and win it of course. Either way I cannot wait and Manchester is always a great night out to so bring it on.
I'm a St Helens fan. If Ben Barba's fitness improves massively, we'll win it. He's a class above every player in the league when he's fit.
He is quality Dan but you won't win it with just 1 player the rest will have to step up to. Cas would beat you's in the semi even Leeds have a great chance at home to you guys.
Im a hull fc fan and we are hit and miss at times but when we need to perform this season we have cas ( quarter final ) leeds ( semi ) and obv the final Cas have been the best team this season but weve beat them 2 out of 3 and deep down theyll wanna avoid us in the play offs Hows a cas/leeds final more realistic? Leeds couldnt live with us in the semi final and even Mcdermott admitted they couldnt do much more we just simply was fantastic and they only scraped past us 4 days after our cup final win with a patched up side!
Hang on we never scrapped past you were beaten you by 14 we also scored 50 at your place earlier in the season. Briscoe had a mare that day he has improved a lot. You haven't won at Headingly were at home in the semis lost only 2 home games this season 1 to Cas I'm confident we will beat you's.
With Smith out the team we look a much better side. Our spine changing isn't ideal at this point in the season but you can't pass up on a player of his quality. Against Huddersfield it looked far better than it did against Wakey. If we beat Salford, I'd rather play Cas than Leeds. I'd be more confident beating them away as we already have this season, than Leeds where we've struggled twice.
There's games between Leeds and Saints have been belters and very close we beat you at home by 2 points twice you's did the same at your place always great games between 2 great clubs im glad you's look stronger to win the best you want beat the best hopefully if we play each other it'll be another classic with another leeds win by 2 I'm hoping for though Cas are obviously the team to beat there win at Wigan was stunning with an 18 year old replacement for Gale scoring 3 tries. I know but they did well to sign him up he looks quality. Hardaker would be my MOS . Parcell and Cuthbertson have been Leeds best players this season.
There was two highly rated young lads that left Bradford. Trueman was one and the other went to Hull. Gale MOS imo. He's been the man for Castleford. It wouldn't surprise me if the shortlist was all Cas players.
Could well be Gale has been great as have Zak and Eden and Sene Lefao Junior Moors Adam Milner etc you name it they have been great there so much fun to watch to.
You won by 14 but only cause you scored that parcell try with the last kick of the game and it was touch and go until the last 5 minutes ( And as i said 4 DAYS AFTER WEMBLEY and numberous players out injured ) The one big game weve had we ripped you to pieces in the semi final you had no answer ( just like Cas in the Quarters ) If the top 4 finishes Cas, Leeds, us and saints i fancy us and saints Saints have been decent since Holbrook went there just the odd blip now and again and we owe them back for magic weekend defeat !
You were terrible the magic weekend day and at Saints when they beat you in a rubbish ģame were there were loads of errors. I would still be confident we beat you's last year twice when we were rubbish. You have won one big game against us recently I'm still confident at home in the semis we would have enough to win it will be close though either way.
Probably being pedantic....but why is this thread not in general sport? I hope Cas play Leeds in the final and absolutely thrash them......Cas been best team in league all season ....this not aimed at the thread originator but the lack of respect from some Rhinos fans who I know is embarrassing.
Cas deserve to win it. They have been the best team all year round sorry if you think a lot of Rhinos have a lack of respect I don't whoever the grand final is between will be a great event as always.
Just some I know mate...they can't bring themselves to give credit......I'm not a huge fan of the notion that a team can be best team all season, win the league and then be upstaged in a play off system.....imagine that being applied to our football premier division?....yes you won the league over many many games but.........
The problem with Super League is that people say "there's nothing for other clubs to play for." I don't really understand it, every other league in sport works that way, some clubs are happy to use a season or two of being mid table to build. But rugby league fans NEED something to play for until the end game. It's like with the super 8s, with some people wanting points reset to 0, which is ridiculous, as Cas should be points clear due to being at the top of their game all season.
Been like that for years should get more for finishing top But they know the score at the start of the season
Whoever finishes top should be rewarded more put them through automatically to the grand final. Then for playoffs 2nd vs 5th then 3rd vs 4th the winners of them two matches go through to play each other then the winner of that match get to the grand final. That would be a better system imo
The problem then comes with the top placed side having 2 weeks off with no game whilst whoever they play in the grand final has 2 intensive games
