BBC are showing the Rugby League World Cup & today's offering with a 5 o'clock kick off from Headingley Leeds is Ireland v Jamaica , I didn't know they play Rugby League in Jamaica , they'll be tobogganing next... oh , hang on
Apparently one of the guys who played for England yesterday in their impressive win could have been in the Jamaican team had the tournament been last year as scheduled.
Surprised to see Italy beat Scotland , only had a brief look whilst someone was injured in the football , didn't look like a big crowd .
The Jamaican's lost 2-48 . Next up for Ireland is Lebanon . Didn't know they played Rugby League either , weird .
Ah - thought that might be the case. So probably won't be the big scores people might expect. Well apart form England which was a surprise.
Who the hell is going to compete with these Aussies? the last try summed it up. What a set of players, have to feel sorry for the Scots lads.
Watched some of it and could have been even worse. Not good for the game generally though having such one sided games maybe.
Humbled by the Zimbabweans in Hobart in the Cricket this morning as well failing to make the final 12 after Ireland had knocked the West Indies out , not a good sporting day for the Scots , arggghh !
Just looking at Sky Sports News & the videoprinter has put up today's results in Wheelchair World Cup . Scotland 41 - 62 USA France 154 - 6 Wales ( jeez , that's mental ! )
I'm going to the second semi-final at the Emirates tomorrow, but I have no idea how on Earth England and Samoa can possibly follow what we've watched at Elland Road tonight. Rugby league is a truly wonderful sport and, tonight, Australia and New Zealand just demonstrated why.
