Considering all the call offs it's not the worst side. As usual though it's the defence that's the big problem, I hear Bates is doing well in Germany and is in form so hopefully he can handle it as he never looked a player in Scotland last season. Fletcher will do a job. His job will be to keep the ball and work off the runners as we have plenty of options in Christie, Armstrong, Forrest and Fraser. I can see a few goals in this one, and I know a lot of people wouldn't mind us losing to get rid of Mcleish but I want to win and win well regardless who is manager.
Double edged sword for me, when the game starts i'll want us to win but if we are beaten or draw i'll also see that as a positive as the sooner he goes and we get a real manager in the better it'll be for our game.
Great result away from home and some big performances. Granted Albania aren't up to much but still a good win none the less. On a serious note though having just watched Mcleish post match interview I really do think someone needs to have a look at his health, it was uncomftorble watching him speak like he has had 12 pints after the game, obviously there is an underlying medical issue.
Same conundrum for me tonight, want Scotland to win but won't be too disappointed after the game if we're beaten and we are forced to get a real manager in to handle the talent that we DO have in that squad. I fancy us to win.
We should beat Israel at home. 3-1 Scotland. The only worry I have is Israel have a genuine top class striker in Dabbur who will test thta Scottish CB pairing a lot more than Armenia did.
Do Scotland need to win to top the group or is it goal difference which means a draw would be enough?
