It's been ruined by the riches on offer elsewhere. Growing up it was always massive and a great day at the end of the season, but it's now an inconvenience for many clubs.
As sad as it is, I can understand why some of the more prominent clubs do this, but I don't get why clubs who rarely win silverware treat it the way they do.
Same reason and the reason the game has been ruined. . . Cash. Must be so frustrating to support them. Never going to do anything in the league and throwing their only chance of glory away.
