Just awaiting official confirmation, probably tomorrow.

Not majorly upset that KP has gone, but it just puts us on the backfoot instantly, tactics were often all over the place, the 7-1 at Gateshead could've been an instant dismissal on it's own, was willing to give him a stab with his own team next season but is what it is, Singh needs to pull a rabbit out the hat here.

Genuinely woudnt be shocked if Milly ended up at Poolies. He sounds like a broken man in his interview since our playoff defeat.

Ex Pools player reckons an announcement will be made in a couple of days regarding new manager.
Luke Garrard is the name doing the rounds.
As Rocka says, just sets us back again regarding retained list, player targets etc.
My man ITK said KP had lined up 2 players from the EFL to come, now that’ll be out of the window.

Never been impressed with Garrard, boring as **** manager, 0-0 is his favourite result.

    Can’t be arsed with it.

Luke Garrard is Barnet born and bred and still lives there. Also has business here so can't see him upping sticks and going North. Wouldn't be surprised if he got the Wealdstone job.

Our most successful manager in recent times Dave Challinor was sacked from Fylde.

Didn't see that coming at all. Gave us our best ever season though and also got Yeovil into the play offs

That's a solid appointment from Hartlepool, i'll go as far as saying now you'll make the playoffs mininum next season.

I never thought Woking sacking Sarll when they did was a good call (although i'm glad they did), they were always going to suffer a bit of second season syndrome after massively overachieving in the first season.

Was it Sarll who signed up all the current shit Working team? a load of injury prone wasters like Mani Oyeleke? I doubt anyone who rates Jim Kellerman as well. Previous to that though was well thought of as a manager. Going to go one of 2 ways this, that's for sure.

Better Sarll than Luke Garrard imo.

Sarll made Yeovil and Woking hard to beat. No idea what went wrong with Woking this season but his record indicates he's competent.

A solid but uninspiring managerial appointment.

I think he will wait until after the playoffs, there may be a job closer to home.

Boring bastard in an interview Sarll, takes forever to finish a sentence & spends most of it waffling

As others have said though, did brilliant with Woking a couple of seasons back. Turned them into a very physically strong team that were difficult to play against. Obviously got a lot wrong last summer with some honking signings but maybe he’s learnt from that?

Be interesting to see what his knowledge of players is like in the north though, only ever played and managed down south.

We have a 'Head of Football Operations' bloke in charge of all transfers so I dunno what degree of input he'll be having, don't fancy us turning into the new Sutton but if he can instil a bit of arse kicking it wouldn't go amiss, team full of fannies.

Obviously a good appointment but so was Philip’s,what Hartlepool need is a manager given time.
Phillips soon sorted it out last season and was never in trouble of going down.
Teams in this league need to run like Gateshead/Alty

Phillips plugged the holes in the ship which Askey had made and I personally was willing to give him a fair crack of it next season, we were still all over the place, he knocked over a few of the easy beats early on but a couple of honking roll over defeats and a capitulation to Gateshead probably made the decision to not renew his contract easier for the owner.

I remember Sarlls name being bandied about after Askey was sacked & he was at one Pools game.
Apparently he knocked us back at the time because we were that bad.
