What a win that was for us! Quality performance and thought we deserved the 3 points. We may have rode our luck at times but that's what happens when you beat the big teams.

Nade and Kazim Richards looked good and had some decent touches. We played good football and defended well as a unit, especially when Jags went in net. And Jagielka pulled off the save of the match from Robin the mardy bastard Van Persie.

Great win, and a needed one aswell after Man City. Hopefully we can take this to Middlesbrough and get at least a point, although it will be tough after the effort we put in yesterday, especially the last half hour.

We were utter shit, worst performance of the season.

Full credit to Sheffield United though who no doubt were a big part of the reason we couldn't get our game going. I was one of the people that thought you were going down but you seem to be proving be wrong every week and I'd rather have the blades in this league then the collection of nothing teams that can't even fill their grounds. (That Goal music is shite though).

Anyway same shit, different day with us. :(

Oh and Robin, if you go to one more Arsenal away match I will hunt you down and kill you.

Yeah, great win blades. well done

Does make me laugh though at the suggestions on the first day of the season, when we drew with you lot, its was suggested by the so-called "Big 3" supporters that none of them, I repeat NONE of them would drop points to teams like yourselves

    :hmmm

I must be hypocritcal about our team or watchin a different game. I conceed that Nade created and took his goal well but Lehmann really did gift him the chance to score, I will eat my words if Nade tucks one away when he has to make a decision because with Lehmann bearing down on him he really couldn't do anything else but shoot.

As for Kaizm Richards he may have had some decent tounches but there were also some truely awful ones too, and his work rate was poor I thought he deserved to go off more than Nade when Hulse came off. Kazim Richards is better out wide rather than as an out n out striker.

The two of them really do make things difficulty for themselves and the team on occasions, there were a number of time during the game when they beat players and made space to pass but decided they want to take another player or worse the same player they've beat on again and lost the ball.

On Nade I must get myself down to the academy to see how this guy is operating on the training ground because according to Mr Warnock this guy is on fire on the training ground. Seeing him down there may change my view or better still the goal might give him the confidence and I may see an improvement in his game on the pitch startin at Boro tomorrow........

I did think the back four and the midfield were on top of their game last night but for Morgan's punch, which could cost him a few games from the FA and Kozluk's suicidle back pass.

Remember I told you so earlier in the thread Blades to win 1-0 or 2-1, I was on at 11/1, get in.

See you all the Boro and another 3 points to the cause

Well done Blades, no complaints with that result.

We were abysmal in the first half and improved a little in the second, but the luck wasn't with us this time, with bad control/touch at times from van Persie and Aliadiere (x2)

Aliadiere really missed on a good chance to do soemthing here I feel, tho he wasn't helped by the poor Rosicky and the anonymous Baptista.

Anyways, this is the Sheff Utd forum, so well done on the win, fantastic support and be assured that at least some Arsenal fans are more gracious in defeat than our manager.

P.S. Your dancers were most appetizing :whistle Moreso than the CHengdu Blades anyway

P.P.S FAO Hegarty. Agreed. Once again no acknoeldgement from our players at the whistle, except Flamini and Senderos....

So that's Fulham, West Ham, Bolton and Sheff Utd.

It's all good pumping your fists at the crowd when you've won a game but pissing off after another below-par performance is a joke.

The club need to have a word and quick, it just is not on.

I'll echo what Robin said about the Sheffield United crowd, sounded amazing on the television.

the crowd are without doubt the 12th man both home and away, a gooner after the game said that their 60,000 couldn't get near that level of noise.

I was at the lane for the city game on the 26th(unfortunately!) but had to come back to Germany the day before this one,I watched it on telly down the pub though.
Well done lads I thought we,d never hang on when Jags went in goal but we fully deserved it.Thanks also to the Arsenal fans who can certainly take a defeat with more good grace than some in the premiership!

I was quite pleased for Senderos, he seemed to have a good game, got in several inch perfect tackles and defended well at corners, it was Hoyte and Clichy were dodgy for us at the back, especially Clichy at times.

But for me it goes to show how much we missed two form players in Fabregas and Hleb - i wouldn't go pressing the alarm buttons and saying it was quite as bad as the Bolton performance first half (as we could have scored a few) but it was just the way we couldn't hold the ball for more than 10 seconds at a time.

As for the home crowd, it was one of the best I've heard in a while, whilst we were (unusually) poor.

I can never remember our team pissing off and not acknowledging us after a defeat. I've seen us lose 4-0 at Wigan, and 3-0 at Plymouth, but the lads always seem to come over and show their appreciation.

I'm not being vindictive towards Arsenal or anything, but maybe it's because the majority of your team is foreign? Maybe they don't realise they're pissing the fans off by what they're doing?

I dont understand why some pundits diss arsenals performance and put our win down to the arsenal not "getting involved" in games up north , when the going gets tough, or get stuck in as some put it
surely arsenal were built on being able to mix it , dont remember adams or bold being reknowned for finnesse, and vierra had more cards than I got at christmas . Could it be , god forbid that on the day our midfield out played them in the middle, our goal came from playing to feet on the ground and a turn that if henry did it would have been lauded
instead its mistakes by toure and lehman

just to get some positive reaction for once would be nice other than the BBCs dull assumption that it was a victory for hard work ,I thought hard work was the first requisite of being in the prem

True....up to a point. After being nice enough to stop watching the days winter sport(the football season is in winter break here) to let me watch the game, most of the Germans in the room lost interest quickly when they realised Arsenal weren,t playing chelsea, liverpool or m utd and headed for the pool table and dart board and only paid attention whenever I started shouting at the telly

Always happens though....the bigger team must have played badly to lose and some teams don't always get the full credit thy deserve.

You guys wanted it more I feel with the deterimantion and spirit and unlike us had the quality to hold on....did Arsenal even have a worthy shot on goal?

Its the 2nd time in a week Toure has been caught out then because Bouazza easily beat him for pace on Tuesday when we scored.

I see Wenger moaned about the pitch and weather last night...well ours isn't exactly great but as they won suppose it did not matter.

    :rolleyes

Well done and good luck in staying up..rather not have to lose against you guys again at Vicarage Road!

    :p :slap:
