Should be a good game, and hopefully our first win. Saying that, I can't remember ever seeing us beat Reading at BDTBL They attack alot, because that's all they can do, and if we create as many chances as Man City did last night I'm confident we will win the game with ease. But, I'm going for 2-1, what do you all reckon?
Last season it was good yes, and after watching the match last night I thought if Man City had anything about them they would have scored 3 or 4 goals.
watched the game , and according to the stats man city had 65% of the possesion, but didnt look like they could score in a brothel, Blades are due a win after getting robbed at the mad jetski stadium last year, when reading got away with aggrivated assault in the box , 10 minutes before getting a last minute winner
Yeah yeah yeah and Paddy Kenny done nothing wrong at all did he If your gonna tell a story of injustice tell the whole story FFS
He did do something wrong, but, he got punished for it in some form, however wrong the punishment may have been, at least the referee spotted it. Your player got away with a bloody rugby tackle in the box.
THese sort of things have a habit of evening themselves up over a season, it just so happened that things evened themselves up within that match. You were not robbed. Get over it and concentrate on this weekends match.
I could say the same thing about any team that anyone plays. If Blackburn had of had anything about them they could have scored 3 or 4 past you, if Arsenal had had anything about them they could have 3 or 4 past Man City in their previous match, and so on for every match that is played. It is a pointless comment to make. THe fact is they had the possession and did nothing with it, we created the better chances, Weaver had the harder saves to make, Man City were the team rattled getting 4 players booked and one harshly sent off, we scored they didn't. Football is about attacking AND defending - we did both better than Man City. They passed the ball around their midfield nicely but that doesn't win matches.
What I'm trying to say is that if we have as much possession as Man City did, I think we will use it alot better and score a few goals. Didn't put my point across well enough, apologies. I think our defensive performances have been brilliant this season so far, and this needs to continue on Saturday, because Reading are a good side going forward. I'm also interested to see how many Reading will bring on Saturday, I think it'll be about the same as Blackburn brought, anyone know how many have been sold so far?
I will be surprised if you have as much possession as Man City did, although we did let them play the ball around the midfield whilst closing down all their forward routes with ease for the majority of the match. Even last season many teams had more possession than us during matches which we went on to win. It is just the way we play. We let teams pass the ball around and then when a pass finally goes astray we counter attack with pace down the wings or through the middle. The mistake that people make when watching us is that we have played badly, didn't have much possession, and didn't deserve to win. Possession means nothing as Man City found out.
The official site is saying "over 1,500". Not a bad turnout for what is one of the least attractive away fixtures this season. It seems strange saying that considering it was one of the more attractive away fixtures in previous seasons.
well dont use insults like least attractive , youve obviously never sampled the delights of fulham , or the beauty of fratton park , and a packed ewood park
