Vote Adz Going with the same logic I did earlier. Maybe he is another redscum hence he was able to fake claim so easily My role does not make sense flavour wise to be scum or third party.
Tbh the more I think about it Adz makes more sense. I've town read you all game. Unvote Josh Vote Adz
Adz has been lynched. He was Spoiler Commander Maro The game is now over, and the Dark Brotherhood has won (though unlucky town as you guys deserved to win). Final flips Josh was Farkas. RD was the Dovahkiin Listener. -------------------------------------------------------- Full breakdown here Day 1 No lynch Night 1 Papa protects Joga Adz investigates Burg (x2 left) RD investigates Burg SME attempts to kill RD (does not use strongman) - RD chooses to join Frosty sends a message to Guyett Day 2 Attempt to lynch hashtag (fails) Night 2 (Jason made 1 shot and RD assumed role of Listener (has to pick to kill or search for Alduin, can't do both) Zydus steals Joga's power and uses it on Joga (x1 left) Papa protects Joga Joga chose to kill Josh. RD selected sme and chose to use his strong power. Zydus stole Joga's selection and changed the target to Joga. sme's strong ability bypassed both Jason's bodyguard and Papa's protection. Joga dies. sme has x1 shot left Adz investigates Zydus (x1 left) Day 3 Failed to lynch Andy Night 3 Papa protects Andy Adz investigates Papa (out of uses) RD investigates Andy (kills him - This is not classed as the Night Kill re Papa's role) DB no kill Day 4 Jason lynched Night 4 SME uses strong power to kill Guyett Papa protects Guyett Frosty sends message to Adz Zydus steals sme's power and uses it on sme (sme dies) Day 5 Burg Lynched Night 5 RD targets Guyett Papa protects Guyett No death Day 6 Zydus lynched Night 6 RD targets Papa Papa protects Guyett Day 7 Guyett lynched Night 7 Frosty sends letter to RD RD kills frosty Day 8 Adz lynched, DB wins
Thanks everyone for playing. This game was really a strange one based on some of the mechanics and how powers were used. Here are some notes on my thoughts. Obviously feedback from the players is welcome too. Notes on game Was very worried prior to game about scum team being destroyed early on so decided to give them 3 players with the leader having protection. This was based on a previous game where I think Guyett somehow managed to get half the scum team early on. This game Zydus was the one who did that, so my paranoia helped DB a bit here. Couldn't allow the Dovahkiin to be killed early on as then survivor just walks the game with no skill involved. I decided that I would give the Dovahkiin the same option the game gives you (join DB or report to Commander Maro they tried to recruit you). Typically this happened on N1, and the delay in the day phase was waiting for RD's response. When RD chose to join I was worried that the DB was way too strong now and decided to limit them a bit. Jason's bodyguard became a 1x shot, Dovahkiin became the Dovahkiin Listener and had to choose between searching for Alduin or DB having a NK. Delay in day3 starting was because of confusion with the new role. If I was to do this again, I would just make Dovahkiin 1x shot deathproof instead Zydus was spot on with his choices and pretty much destroyed the DB. When I initially gave his role, I envisioned his power as being select 1 person, use their power on a different person, however I was so worried about the imbalance with a 7 vs 4 vs 1 game I decided to allow it to help town. This then pretty much ruined DB. Next time I use a character like this I definitely won't allow power to be used on same target - good instincts though Zydus. Player of game for me based on your 2 kills.
Game definitely felt weighted in scum's favour - helped by killing off RD N1 and having him join our team. Zydus and Adz' actions ultimately swung it back in town's favour. Zydus killed off two scum players and Adz town-cleared three players which had us panicking a bit and quickened mine and Sme's downfall. I think the game is probably a good example of why it's hard to get the balance right as a host sometimes. Town played very well in the end and made it more competitive than it probably should have been.
enjoyed following following game but felt it really only came alive after some action occurred. the format needed at least 20 to have all the teams and flavours come out.
Thanks for running the game, @Sandsy I know what you mean, when you say it's hard to balance these games. Especially more so when you first design a game for 15-20 people, & then are forced to cut the roles due to small numbers. I also now know how others feels when they play theme games, when they don't know the theme. But they are bloody fun to design. GG scum. Especially RD. PS: Please add us to the scum chat.
