Very comfortable 1 nil victory today. Hamilton caused us no issues and Boyata made a massive difference to that backline in and out of possession. Thought Dembele was immense today, probably should have scored a couple but it was his overall gameplay which impressed me and he looked right in the mood. Tieney was excellent as well and his wide play should have created a few more goals. I thought the tackles Imrie and the boy they had a RB put in today were borderline assault at times and the ref let it go, happening all to often and Tierney especially is being targeted week in week out by these thugs. Only issue I had today was the lack of killing the opposition off but I am happy with the general play and it was without any real errors which was good to see.
Agree 100% with every word and as far as 'all is forgiven' stands. . . .never will be. Boyata should never have been handed a Celtic top again.
Frustrating performance from us today but an important three points in the bag. I thought we lacked creativity throughout and were quite predictable. It was all very boring for long spells. Hamilton never caused us any real danger aside from the chance in the first minute, but after recent negativity we should have been looking to put on a real quality performance and score a few into the bargain. It never looked like happening and it’s beyond ironic that Boyata got the only goal. We need fresh blood in the team and hopefully we will get a few in this week.
He made a difference today but we could have done with that on Athens... I agree he should be out the door regardless of performance today.
I think because of the way we have been playing there is a bit more criticism in today's match than has actually been warrented, I thought at times our play was very good, especially in the second half but we still need to be finishing teams like this off a lot easier. I felt we had a more sucess the more direct we went, that needs to come into our game a lot more.
Interesting that the whole team went to congratulate Boyata, including Gordon. I think there may be more to this story than meets the eye. All of them seemed happy for him and I'm beginning to wonder if the squad have as much respect for Rodgers as they have had previously.
It was the same in Lithuania, we dominated and never looked in trouble against a team that had just knocked APOEL out of the Champions league. Today was hopefully a turning point.
I don't think there is, it's pretty clear what Boyata done and his agent basically told us all that and why he done it.
Bloody hell, I will have to let my son know as he is a Jambo man and might not have heard. ___________________________________________________ Craig Levein: Hearts manager recovering in hospital 2 Hours ago|Hearts Hearts manager Craig Levein was taken to hospital on Monday morning, the Scottish Premiership leaders have announced. "Having received medical treatment, Craig is now recovering well in hospital," said a club statement. "No further comment will be made at this time and the club asks that Craig and his family's privacy be respected, as we all wish him a speedy recovery." Assistant Austin MacPhee will take over first-team duties until Levein returns. The former Scotland defender, 53, signed a three-year contract as manager in August 2017. It is his second spell as Hearts boss after a four-year stint from 2000, after which he moved to Leicester City. Following three years as Scotland manager, Levein returned to Tynecastle in 2014 to become director of football. However, he was back in the dugout last year after the sacking of head coach Ian Cathro. Hearts finished sixth in the Scottish Premiership last season but lead the way this term after Levein reshaped the squad during the summer and recording three consecutive victories. Uche Ikpeazu headed the only goal as Levein's side beat 10-man Kilmarnock on Saturday. Craig Levein: Hearts manager recovering in hospital
