I didn't realise it happened until it was mentioned by the commentators and it showed the replays, a shake of the head when I saw it. No words can describe how pissed off I was through him doing that, it wasn't any need to do what he did.
I was one of the very few in the pub last week that did see it. Was a little tipsy by then and i shouted out " he just bit him. " The lad with me said nah, i said he did, he did, he bit him. One slow mo later and it felt good being proved right.
I love the way he's sitting in judgement like his comments about how he's "impressed" with our fans, the guy is a complete tool and always has been and how he isn't banned from this (team) forum I don't know. Unless he's one of the pets some of the "nitwits" like to keep around for amusement
I haven't commented on the whole incident, a bit late i know but here is my take ... Suarez is an idiot and a 10 game ban is deserved. I don't believe in all this comparing to other players and their bans, they are irrelevant ... the only thing that is relevant is Suarez and everything about him, including previous incidents. And let's be honest if you look at his previous and see that he has already bitten a player and being banned for it then how can you say he doesn't deserve a harsher punishment for the exact same thing in a second offence. It been in another country and league doesn't mean anything, it's just an excuse to make out it doesn't count. I love watching Suarez when is just playing and keeping his nose clean, he's wonderful to watch and a pleasure .. it is just a massive shame that he isn't always that Suarez. I've got to the stage where if he goes then he goes .. he's not irreplacable but if he stays then i think some therapy may help him and hopefully that happens as no one in their right mind bites people in any situation. Hopefully he uses his 10 games off to get his head and anger under control.
Good article by Brian Reade in "The Mirror" today. Cant link it as i am on my phone but its a good read from a usually LFC biased reporter.
Will give LFC a chance to see how they cope without their main man. A team can be too reliant on one player ( look at Spurs with Bale ) and if that player is not scoring then they struggle for goals. At least for the next 10 matches there won't be the usual " he dived looking for a penalty " debate. Be grateful for small mercies.
Ashley Barnes (Brighton) got a seven match (2+5) ban for tripping a referee innocuously. So anything less than a ten match ban would be unfair ? But only an extra five matches. http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/103...o_hand_Suarez_his_ten_game_punishment/?ref=mr
