He got a 7 game ban for it once and didn't learn, I think in cases like this his past conduct has to be considered (it is allowed to be taken into consideration) so I think 8-10 is pretty fair in this instance. He simply isn't taking any of these bans in and is still conducting himself terribly on the pitch.

Just watched the Huth thing again, it's bad and I'll agree he deserved a ban but I'm not going to defend Suarez on the grounds of other decisions being wrong. FA got this one right, even if they get others wrong sometimes.

They seem to select which decisions to 'get right'. Where is the consistency?

So what you are saying is because they got it wrong last time, for ever more the punishment for biting someone should be a yellow?

    You don't think that's retarded?

Of course, the FA didn't get it wrong, the referee did. The FA were hampered by their own silly rules regarding retrospective action which we see time and time again and is very consistent if not fair.

I do apologise for bringing some sensible discussion to the "Waah waah everyone hates us" theme but someone has to.

Suarez would have to serve ban even if he moved elsewhere so at least can be pretty sure this wont result in a move this summer. Unless he just can't be asked with the crap he gets from so many ignorant individuals anymore.

We certainly won't look to sell as his fee will be lower due to fact an club that takes him would be getting a banned player for first month or so of their career there.

Wow. Did not expect a 10 game ban...despite being bizarre, when not much damage has been done, how can this warrant almost a third of a season's worth of games on the sidelines?

Which you think was the wrong decision, so do you now want them to continue making the same bad decision to to get consistency?

Surely not, your obviously an intelligent man, so i assume you can see how that appears absurd?

Poor victimised Suarez. He shouldn't be criticised when he does these things, he should be given a pat on the head and told he's a little scamp. I for one wouldn't blame him if he moved away from all the mean people in this country

Nah, it's only reserved for special individuals such as yourself. If you don't like it feel free to hit that big x in the corner.

In what world are Bayern going to stump up cash for Gotze, Lewandoski and Suarez?

The Bayern link has always been tenuous, and is based on nothing more than two people that happen to share the same agent. Lenny Pidgeley and Steven Gerrard share the same agent so I reckon Gerrard is off to Newport in July.

    He's going nowhere.

About time the FA had a standard list of penalties for offence, as guidelines so people who cross the line know what they should expect and it may be greater or less depending on their history and any mitigating circumstances that may apply.

    - Failing or missing a drugs test = 9 months to a year.
    - drinking, driving and other similar bracketed offences where they don't end up in prison = 10 matches
    - Punching, headbutting or biting an opponent = 7-10 matches
    - abuse to include racist and homophobic language = 7-10 matches
    - dangerous tackle, punished or not (appropriately) punished during the match = 3 matches (first offence)
    - stupidity via ("social") media or public disorder = 3 matches

At least the players would know where they stand and maybe think twice with regards the avoidable ones above. Why the driving offence ban? They are role models and frankly if they didn't kill someone while drunk driving or speeding at the kind of speeds most will be guilty of, they got lucky and so did potential victims. If nothing else it would send out the right message to the public as well as the players. Of course they could all be subject to increases for repeated offending or intent. I could throw in confronting the referee en masse, should certainly be punished more than it is.

would definitely like to see guidelines like that come in just so everyone, fans, players and the media alike, all know what's to be expected. instead of this circus that arises everytime an incident like this occurs.

So then how do you explain Suarez 8 games and Terry 4 games for the same offense? Consistency?

Agreed. It should never be at someone's discretion. It should be fixed.
