Didn't Sutton only turn professional on gaining promotion too? Or was that info incorrect. If so that's even more impressive the season they are having..
Gutted. Very, very gutted. I felt we had it there. Can’t fault the effort of any of the players today, all 16 played so well. But we came up short, after a great 2nd equaliser for Rotherham. It hurts, but it’s been great for the club financially with tickets sold, merchandise and prize money. Hopefully we’ll kick on in a tight promotion race.
Thought you deserved to win & that must have been gut wrenching conceding so late on into injury time . Good luck in the League & as you say a memorable day ( even with a loss ) & some of the fair weather fans ( all clubs have them ) may turn up to the League matches at the backend of the season & put some extra revenue through the turnstiles .
Where did all that added time come from? Was there a bad injury. Or lots of subs.. Think most impartial fans would of backed Sutton today
Both sides made 5 subs and one of ours came after a two minute stop. However I’m not sure where 7 minutes came from
We had a few new regulars off the back of the 16/17 FA Cup run to the 5th round, so hopefully it’ll be the same from today.
Well played Sutton yesterday I had a great day out at Wembley as did the 14k other Sutton fans. Where the referee found 7 minutes from is a complete mystery as apart from subs and 1 injury nothing happened. They left it all in the 90 minutes and the legs had well and truly gone by extra time.
