I’m watching the football. It’s not been magnificent, but still better than England vs Scotland in the Euros.
Always love sitting around watching events I’d never usually watch like Table Tennis, Archery, slalom kayaking, handball etc. The start times make it a bit difficult this year though, for example the swimming semi finals at 3:30am tonight
Aye i want to watch the Taekwondo especially Jade Jones who's trying to win 3 consecutive Olympic Golds think she would be the first woman to do it if she does. Her first fight is something like half 3 in the morning though and i'm at work tomorrow The gold medal fight is early afternoon tomorrow i believe so i'll be skiving off to watch that if she's in it.
Haven't seen much yet due to thw shit timws. I haven't looked much into the BBC iplayer coverage yet, so hopefully it will have full replays. I love watching the rowing, athletics, bmx, and kayaking. The tennis usually delivers as well.
Woke up to let the puppy out into the garden to do his business and ended up sitting down to catch some of the swimming. Only the Olympics could have me up at 3am cheering on a Tunisian underdog in the 400m freestyle to win gold Jade Jones out Gutted for her to be honest
Yes - would have been backed for a medal I suspect but all good things come to an end usually . Andy Murray pulled out of the singles - maybe to concentrate on the doubles ? And the Women’s hockey team lost to Germany . Things can only get better!!
After watching an hour of skateboarding I think it’s now time to go back to bed so I can be up for the table tennis at 8
Got up to the news Jade got knocked out in the 1st round Really shocked. Even if she didn't get the Gold i would have had her nailed on for a medal. She can actually still win a Bronze if the girl who beat her reaches the final, which is doubtful. Oh well over to Lauren Williams (-67kg) and Bianca Walkden (+67kg), really hope they perform would be gutted to see none of the women get a medal they're all great fighters. Just seen Bradly Sinden is through to the semi's so good news there.
Disappointing for Jade. She’s part of such a close-knit family that she seemed to freeze in the empty stadium.
Cracking women’s road race with the rank outsider making a break with 40km to go - and just kept going to the end. The 4 Dutch cyclists, all of whom were amongst the favourites, couldn’t work together to catch her.
