They did and they had an excellent season but Covid didn't affect all teams equally, Celtic played a full month of fixtures with a reserve squad due to it as lost 9 points, Rangers didn't have one case (supposedly) only club in Scotland that sent their tests to an independent non NHS site. Covid actually didn't affect them at all, having no crowds certainly helped them as their own captain admitted the season before the pressure from the stands gets to them.

They managed to build up a 12 point lead early on due to Celtic getting games postponed and having to field half a team in the first Derby.

Yes we were an Absolute car wreck last season but at the same time Raners had one of their most fortunate seasons in history. They even beat us without having a shot on target, that really told the story of the season tbh.

Not saying there aren't reasons they had such a great season but still.....102 pts, unbeaten. Likelihood is you wouldn't catch them either way.

Plenty successful league campaigns can have individual moments that seem to decide them but overall the best team wins regardless.

Playing without pressure is a lot easier.

They had no crowd on their back and no challenge. It was a freak season, if we were on their tails and taking even 6 points off them it's completely different. They have gone back the way this season.

Everyone had no crowds chief. Like I say there are factors but the outcome was the best team won.

They did and it affected teams in different ways. We also played a lot of games with skeleton squads due to something like 14 players isolating.

They won the league and we all move on ut it was in unique circumstances

Why? It's clear they are the only club to ever get affected negatively by anything.

Yes it wqs a bit of a freak season, but 102 points isn't 'they got lucky'.

Well it looks done and dusted. Another lying rat in the same mould as Rodgers.

Farewell sweet prince, but don't be sad coz 1 out of 9 ain't bad

Would have preferred he stayed but if they banter us yet again with Derek McInnes next I'll get over it

    Excuses and denial, still!
"If our board, manager and players had performed better we'd have won it!"
If ours had performed better we'd have been further clear than we were. That's life. You didn't win, we did. Pain seeping out of you, ten in a row is never coming back , you got battered from pillar to post worse than ever seen before, you all started falling out with each other, attacking your own and it was absolutely magical, but even we're over it now, stop crying and get on with this season, where you're behind again thus far.

As the most successful club in the country, yes back where we belong.

Yeah we have the best squad in the country and the best manager who gets the maximum out of them too. I agree.
If the rumours are true then good luck to him, he delivered us back to the top and the challenge for whoever now is to stay there.

Again, "If we played better we'd have finished higher", yep well done

Pretty difficult act to follow absolutely stomping all over you like last season, 4 points clear up until now will do.

He's your King, don't forget it

It's the exact same squad and manager maybe with the exception of a couple squad players that bottled the pre Covid season, the season that Gerrard would have got the sack if it wasn't for the league getting stopped, I wonder what changed in the football landscape the season after.

That same squad is starting to look shakey again this season and Celtic just keep getting better. Gerrard is going at the right time as this Celtic team and manager are coming and coming at Rangers hard, I await your tears when the season is over.

What changed was we didn't bottle it, righted a previous wrong, got better and absolutely smashed your team. Gerrard was never getting the sack, however much some of the support wanted it at one stage. You wish though, then maybe the 10 could have happened, or the 15 years away forecast you gave us 2 years previously

The same squad is 4 points clear at the top. It's all in your head fella. You'll get over it one day. Aye, see you at the end of the season sure :bye

Well if Rangers fall away it will prove the "Gerrard Effect " by default.

Aren't Gerrard's Rangers top of the league having already beat Celtic?
