Guyett I love you mate but you aren't half a sore loser.

If anyone should feel aggrieved its Watford. He had a better team than both of you.

    What nonsense!

I don't think there was much between the top five teams. Each had some sort of weakness or something.

TBH, I was ok with any position in Top-3 for that matter but you are making it sound like your team was far superior or something which ain't true.

In fact if both our teams face each other, I have a better chance of winning against you than vice versa. I have a better attack. You have a better midfield. Defense, not much between them but I like the balance of my defense more. Ayala as the terzino destro in a Catenaccio is far from ideal considering he wasn't the quickest and always struggled against quick and agile attackers. One on one defending wasn't his strongest point. Post-peak Ronaldo, Owen, Makaay etc all troubled Ayala. So Dzajic would completely isolate Ayala and annihilate him down that flank.

    BTW, I had you 1st.

It doesn't matter who's team would win against the other at all mate. Watfords team was simply better than anyone else's.

    May be.

I understand that he is disappointed, but his team wasn't exactly far superior to others which is my point. If he had a Gentile/Bergomi/Thuram instead of Ayala, I would have agreed with you that his team was superior to others. As of now, I could make a case for mine, Joga's and Guyett along with Mr W's as being the best team.

I knew that wouldn't go down well  I'm not making out my team is far superior to anyone else's, I even said just before the votes were revealed that I should be top three, not that I should win. I'm just aggrieved that I didn't win because two people voted me in ****ing 10th.

The 1v1 argument doesn't matter in an overall vote, you can't compare all 14 teams against each other in 1 on 1 situations. Even if it did I could make a pretty convincing argument about the complete lack of width down your right hand side, comparatively poor keeper etc etc.

Thanks for the 1st place vote and congrats on the win. :)

This has all got a bit mafia with the arguments.

It's done, Viper won with the system that the 2nd placed drafter suggested, he was voted 1st so he deserves it, we move on.

Mate when it's close its acceptable. But like you say, teams like ours, Ollies and watfords being voted 10th and navy red in 7th is just lunacy.

That is absolutely true. 10th place votes were downright ridiculous.

Regarding 1v1 argument, you are right. However, I think its a fair way to separate two or three teams who are more or less around the same quality. I don't know about others here, but if I am confused between two or three teams as to who I would put top and who bottom, I imagine who would win the match if they both faced each other and then decide accordingly. You are right about weakness in my team as well. Like I said, all teams in this draft had a few weaknesses. You, me, Guyett and Joggers. If Guyett had a better midfielder than Bonini or a natural winger instead of Juninho, I would have had him first.

Happy with best midfield, but disappointed with my overall finish. Expected to be higher than that.

And I owe Watford an apology. His other 10th placed vote was me - complete oversight when listing out my teams - it was a mistake that I put him there, and not a deliberate decision.

    Apologies x
