Bit dull in the end, although Pompey being crap didn't help.

Give it a few years the New Forest derby will be a bubble match :D

Well the same fans that when they were 2-0 down, were not giving the ball back to our players, they are not the smartest. :roflmao

I am pretty sure our fans were making a massive load of noise, our players, the sky commentators and Ralph all mentioned it so it must have been down to where the microphones are, I think generally Sky turned down to background noise full stop seeing as every time the ball went out for a throw our players got massive abuse from those bellends, but you couldn't actually hear it.

Nice job done, this was always a potential banana skin (hello Spurs ) as a PL team vs a lower league one, and it was pretty inevitable at home, with the win behind them, the rain lashing down like that and in a derby that we would have to weather a start like that, but the quality came out in the end.

Good to see Ings play well and get some goals, not only as a Saints fan scoring against Portsmouth in their own back yard, but he needed some goals for his confidence. Also like Prowsey's reserved smugness at the end of the game, born in Pompey, clearly has some Portsmouth fans in the family, got berated all night for that, so he tried to keep a lid on it but you could see he was beaming.

Also good to see us finally going for the cups once again.

Finally that back four for league games please Ralph, proper full backs (Cedric was excellent again), Yoshida showing his experience even after that filthy elbow he got, Bednerak solid and a left back playing at left back. Add Djenepo and Redmond to that team and we will win plenty of games.

Felt sorry for Adams, needs a goal, his confidence is shot and you can see it playing on him. But still think he'll come good, saw someone say Jay Rod was similar when we signed him took a while to get going, looked bereft of confidence until he got his goal, everyone called him a 'Championship striker', but once he got that goal he was flying, think Adams will be similar.

My mate was there and said they didn't stop singing throughout the whole game.

As usual, when we play these at fratton park, the stewards move the mics away from the away fans. They were seen doing it last time. I was there last time and came back with the sorest throat ever yet you could barely hear us on the tv. They love making myths about how great thier support is although I will say one thing, they were decent last night until it went to 3-0. Then half the ****ing stadium got up and started walking out.

I have no voice, I probably need a tetanus shot, my shins are covered in f*cking bruises and I still have to get back to London but I couldn’t give a f*ck as we f*cking hammered the inbreds in their own back yard.

Absolutely f*cking beautiful it was, absolutely f*cking beautiful.

Always nice to hear that those inbred tossers down the road got a battering. F*ck off Pompey, Pompey f*ck off.

What Saints fans are saying about the mics being moved is true, Palace do it too and stick the mics right by the ‘ultras’. Laughably tinpot.

The best away day of my life.

And f*ck me the skates are all myth, we were being told of the biggest welcoming committee we'd ever see and that we'd collect enough bricks to build a house.

Instead we saw a few mutants with less teeth than braincells, and they didn't have many of either, and police more game them the locals. I've been there loads and that was the easiest trip to their shithole ever.

Funniest point was one of our loons broke the escort and went tearing into their mob by himself, sent about three of them flying and the rest scattered before he got nicked.

Big scary pompey always have been and always will be a f*cking myth.

    4-0 in your own backyard.

Was born in Winchester but lived and grew up in Netley Abbey, one of the lads at Fratton with us yesterday knew his family and his brother pretty well so it's we even f*cking sweeter for him when Ings scored.

Complete difference in quality. We had chances but couldn't finish for shit, as much as the fans will be on Jackett's back for this, this is on the strikers and individual mistakes. Not a fan of Marquis.

They were the first half then they went dead after about the 60 mins point and all you could hear after that was the Southampton end. Even the tw*t with the bell shut up towards the end. Really surprised that even with their poor league form Pompey looked like they just gave up and resigned themselves to a battering after the first goal. Dominated the first 25 mins, conceded then capitulated. Beyond the record-setting scoreline not really a classic match overall, largely for the latter reasons. Still, satisfied with the scoreline though, having seen at both clubs home and away and a couple of random matches to knock grounds off my 92 in the away end with Southampton, definitely know which side I prefer there and that's the right result.

They didn’t shut up because they continuously sang that shit Derby song for the last 20 mins, since I was young, fair play to Pompey they are loud but have one of the worst song repertoires in football
