Anyone got a Sat Nav or ever used one? Ive only used one once and to be honest, I could have found my destination easier without it The voice got on my nerves everytime I had to stop or turn left or right and it took me around the houses rather than directly which took me alot longer. How about you?
my old man got one for christmas and when him and mum went to oxford they used it for navigation.getting to oxford was easy enough but when they got there they could not find the area and street that they wanted so they ended up asking strangers for directions.
Why don't you download some fun voices. My son has Stephen Hawkins, Arnie Schwarznegger(sp) Mr. T. Mr.T is the funniest.
yeh my dad has one, but cant use it so i have to so it all for him. when we first got it he was searching for around half an hour for a remote to go with it, until i told him it was touch screen it gets him to where he wants to go though
Sat Nav = For people who can't read road signs or ask directions. Remember! You are never lost, you just don't know where you are at that juncture and moment in time. You will always find a way out.
I did have a satnav until some little chav broke into my car last week and stole it. I have the Mr T voice on mine.
I've got one.. its easier than driving looking at road signs or using maps etc. I aint had many problems with it either, I dont really use it too often though anyway.. only when I'm driving long distances.
I had a TOM TOM but then my dad got given a Navman so we swapped because it's got speed camera info on and he reckons I drive too fast! Didn't know you could d/l different voices for them. How do you do that?
Go to the Tom Tom site or just google it.....Tom Tom also have a speed radar add on although it don't work on the mobile ones.............personally I don't have one and see them as a waste of time just lool at a bloody map and a sense of direction.......most of the time I'm the co-pilot anyway
I have a twat nav .... it comes in handy, especiallyt when I lived in Ireland, had to use it on Friday night to find my way our of Basingstoke town center
I have aTomTom 520. It's brilliant since I can tune the radio into the MP3's I have on it and get the directions through the vehicle speakers, plus it means not having to drive with one hand on the steering wheel and the other holding an A-Z.
I've used my dad's a few times because I am terrible with directions. His has loads of annoying voices like Ozzy Osbourne, John Cleese and Austin Powers.
I have a SatNav but it seems to have an obsession of getting me onto the M25 if i head south, for no apparent reason, as I could have picked a faster route.
