We have one that is currently talking Danish and seriously gets pissed off if you opt to go a different route, so much so that it doesn't shut up.

Satnavs in general For example - heading on the A52 towards Nottingham, its a dual carriageway I delibaretly miss the turning for the M1 as I know that the A1 will be faster What does it tell me? "Make a U Turn" HOW ABOUT NO And for about 15 minutes it kept trying to get me back onto the M1 stupid thing
I bought a Garmin sat nav just before a trip to France where we rented a car to go to Italy. Very handy, but as a warning to anybody considering the same - use it first at familiar surroundings... I had some problems especially in roundabouts always taking the wrong exit
Where I live there are plenty of fjords and despite regular updates the LCD screen often shows our car travelling on water.
I think they are getting cheaper, like everything does from when they first come on to the market. Not sure about the best ones tho. A Tom Tom with Jose Mourinho's voice would be very pleasing
It's really funny when you're a passenger when the sat-nav tells you to do that just as you get up to a sign which says no U turns.
