I can remember buying the Thomas Dolby single 'Europa and The Pirate Twins' and declaring I liked it to a girlfriend ,so she bought me the album The Golden Age Of Wireless when it was released. Only one song I remotely thought was in keeping with Europa and that was Windpower the rest were absolute pretentious gash.

Remember when Extreme released the single, More Than Words, a beautifully crafted acoustic number that nearly everyone on the record buying planet went out and bought, and then the long awaited album came out and little did we know or expect that Pornograffitti was a car crash in funk metal waiting to happen. Disastrous..

I actually quite liked that album, I thought the lyrics were very clever. I mean, how does a duck know which one’s his wife?

I did a playlist just last week and God Shuffled His Feet was on it. I think most of the tracks were like novelty records as in you could listen to them a couple of times and then it was, OK, Brad, we’ve heard it now, calm down lad.

Going back to Michael, didn’t he release something like six singles from his Off The Wall album. That’s almost a greatest hits record right there..

    94. You’re Still the One
    Artist:
    Shania Twain
    Album: Come On Over
    Released: 27/1/1998
    US chart peak: 2
    UK chart peak: 10
    FF ranking: N/A

The first song on here not to be no 1 on the Billboards, "You're Still the One" was written by Twain and Robert John "Mutt" Lange and produced by Lange. It was released in the US on January 27, 1998

"You're Still the One" peaked at number two on the US Billboard Hot 100 for nine weeks, becoming Twain's first top-ten hit in the US. Although it never topped the chart, the song is recognized as Twain's most successful crossover single and is one of her most successful singles at country radio.

"You're Still the One" was nominated for four Grammy Awards in 1999, winning two. It won Best Country Song and Best Female Country Vocal Performance

When Shania Twain and Robert John "Mutt" Lange became romantically involved in the mid 1990s, there was criticism of their relationship, namely claims that the age difference was extreme (he being 17 years older than her), and that Twain was solely using him to further her career. In essence, the critics did not expect their relationship to last. Twain disagreed with these criticisms and wanted to address them in public and this led to her writing "You're Still the One".

"You're Still the One" is also Twain's most successful single on the Billboard Hot 100. It debuted at number 51 on February 14, 1998. It spent 42 weeks on the chart and peaked at number two for nine non-consecutive weeks starting May 2, 1998, making it one of the longest runs at number 2 of any song in the history of the Billboard Hot 100.

    Personal thoughts:
An average song (Mind you that’s better than most on this list). Nothing wrong with the song but nothing special either (or maybe it’s not my taste)

MV is weird without being bad
