Transfer rumours 23/24

We've bought South Korean Paik Seung-ho from Asian giants, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. Tony Mowbray said of the player; “He plays forward, shoots from distance, plays good passes, runs all day. I have managed South Koreans before, they are amazing human beings, individuals who graft and work, listen and want to get better. We are looking forward to him coming and hopefully help us move forward.”
Don't know whether to be excited or worry about the work ethic of our other players, who are not South Korean and therefore lazy...

 

We have been linked with Varane as well. Not quite sure why, as defensive midfield isn't really where we need another body. No doubt he is better than we have, but we need an attacking midfielder or a winger. Can't afford more than 1 (if we can even afford that).

Sounds like very little will be reinvested into the playing squad though, this Venkys situation looks bleak.

 

Romain Mundle signing from Standard Liege according to Fabrizio Romano. Fee is around £2m I think I read and comes back to England after 6 months over there.

Looks like Alcaraz is going to Juventus. Bit disappointing as I like him, but that's more really on what he did last season. He hasn't had the expected impact this season. Guess Rothwell was his replacement, so squad remains the same in terms of depth.

 

He’ll be back. It’s a loan with option to buy for 35mil. We all know how those deals go with Italian clubs but I suppose we’ve replaced like for like in terms of the deal. If he does end up going for 35mil though then it’s a decent bit of business by the club. He’s a very good player but struggled a bit more this season imo.

 

Hard to see him getting game time there when he's been a fringe player here all season.
