so far since the season ended, ive read storys of jagielka, rodwell, pienaar, yakubu, baines(if he has a good WC),and arteta, say it isnt so, all leaving for pastures new

tbh we could probably do without the yak, and pienaar looks set to go, so it wouldnt be a suprise. maybe get a striker with the money

but if any of the other 4 go, there'd be a riot

funny thing is except for the portugese kid, and the goalie, i havent heard much of any players comin in.

    anyone heard anything?

Rodwell is close to signing a new deal, Jags aint going anywhere nor is Baines or Arteta.
Pienaar could go though depending on his WC and the Yak would be sold if a decent offer came in.

Beckford is coming in and we have aleady had a 9.5M bid for a Dutch kid turned down yesterday. So we are in the market for players.
Joao Silva looks an excellent prospect too.

The press are linking everyone with anyone at the minute so I'm waiting for things to settle down before I beleive any rumours. The first priority is to keep the squad we have. I honestly feel our first XI is good enough to challenge for the top 4, it is just squad depth we need.
The only departure I can see is Pienaar who is blatantly fishing for a big move after the WC. I only hope that if he does go he goes quickly so Moyes has time to get players in.

I never pay attention to press gossip really. It can sometimes make for fun reading but that as far as I go with it.
However I do get worried when there are 10,000 stupid rumours flying about and Sky Sports on the TV channel decide to go with Rodwell and the 15M bid from Man Utd. Sky do sometimes get it wrong but they usually get firm info before adding it to the channel itself...

Nice one. If they paid 25M for the Kilngon then im sure we can get atleast 50M for Arteta and a pick of any 3 of their players and they continue to pay their wages, and knowing how terrible City are in the transfer market we will get Arteta back on loan.

Exactly, as Moyes said if they come knocking, it better be with a very big cheque. And as you say Arteta is twice the player Lescott is so £50million is a minimum!

Supposedly the Beckford deal is signed and sealed now. Goodbye and good luck Jermaine - thanks for the memories!

Yeah, a risky signing by Everton.
    Lets hope it pays off.

It's completely risk free in the sense that you aren't paying any money.

Oh excellent. I love those players who play for the love of it instead of wages...

I cant see him being on much and at least there is no transfer fee involved, saying that I think it will be a waste of wages. Good league 1 player, can see him flapping it in the Premiership, saying that should be able to sell him to a Championship side for what we spent on wages.

I reckon he will be on 20k a week. I mean thats pretty low for the PL aint it? If he gets a 4 year deal which is being said he will then thats almost 4Million quid. 4 Million to us is a lot of dosh. However...In Moyes we trust. If he didnt think he could hack it then he wouldnt be signing him.

It is pretty low in terms of Premiership wages but I didn't think he would have even been on that and I can see it being a max of 3 years.

Though I have no idea why I'm questioning him transfers this is his specialty and I'm pretty sure that Moyes knows what he is doing lol.

I think that will spell the end for Vaughan. It would be a shame as I really want him to do well but it seems he is too injury prone to make it in the Prem.

When we already have an injury prone forward in Saha we need a reliable sub, which Is what I hope Beckford becomes!

You're having a laugh if you think signing Beckford is a risk. He'll be on a lot less than the majority of your team in terms of wages, he will cost no transfer fee and you can easily sell at a profit if he turns out to be rubbish. 20k a week is a drop in the ocean for a Premier League club.

The only risk with this signing is If he unsettles some of the current playing staff which isn't unlikely as he does seem like a bit of a thug. On the financial side however there is no risk, 20k a week is nothing in terms of PL wages even If you say over his 4 year contract it turns out to be 4m adding the signing on fee & maybe you're looking at 5/6m but to be honest that's probably around the price Leeds would have commanded for him anyway If his contract didn't expire especially now they're back in the championship.
