Is it not worth thinking about? Do you think our youth set up is working? Do you know roughly how much it costs us to run it each year? How many of our development squad from last year, eg, are still at the club? How many have broken into the first team and made an impact?

We operate in a small country yet other teams seem to have far, far more success than us than finding the decent players out there. Why? I think we should look at spending our money more wisely and atm, that is on the first team squad, not the youths.

As for Kennedy. Maybe he needs help. He is a young and inexperienced and as I pointed out, we have been a shambles at the back against most decent opposition since Mjallby left.

I don't know exactly how much it costs but i'd say the McGeady cash funded it for a good while. Dylan McGeough is an example of getting cash out of the system also.

James Forrest is a multi million pound player and we might see Keiran Tierney make the breakthrough along with others. Liam Henderson to me looks a very good prospect.

If we do bring youth through it's s stonewaller many will use it as another stick to attack the club, we've already seen that with the potential signing of John Souttar which I think will happen.

McGeoch went for buttons. So in effect, we have produced about one good player in 10 years. Two if you include Forrest who is not a multi million pound player. How much do you think we've spent on the youth in those 10 years? It's way more than we have produced.

A couple of hundred thousand for McGeough?

Of course Forrest is worth millions in today's market, i'd say at least £3/4m. . .and if he can stay fit that would rise.

You don't stop trying to find and produce your own players mate.

You do if its not working and we can easily afford to buy any half decent players from any other club in the country. Youth set ups are a drain on a lot of clubs resources. I know that Scotland is not exactly overflowing with talent but we have a god awful record of it since we built Lennoxtown, when it was supposed to improve dramatically.

Is it draining our resources though?

And would you be happy to see youths coming through?. .The Souttar potential signing has already been mocked.

Both certainly won't be true but i'd rather we signed the Dane. A £2.5m bid rejected in the summer apparently.

Would like to see us stay away from loan deals tbh but the big Dane could be worth a shot.

Have been surprised that we havent signed more Scandanavian players with Ronnys knowledge of the region.

I don't have a problem with a couple of good loan deals if we can get them but it would be for the season for me not the second half of the season.

The only advantage I can see in that is if we are still in the Europa League.

Would like us to sign another centre back and get rid of Ambrose.

I'd say Effe is well down the pecking order mate. Injuries right now are putting him in the spotlight as far as starting is concerned.

Our first three centre backs would be Simunovic, Boyata and Mulgrew. . . . We then have Blackettt and Effe.

If Blackett proves himself this season Effe would be our fifth choice centre back.

Aye, that's true. I haven't even seen Simunovic yet, hope he isn't another Boerrigter.

Any idea when Mulgrew is back?

Who knows, there seems to be no transparency when it comes to injuries at Celtic atm. Delia doesn't like giving out timelines by the look of it.

Shame that because I love listening to him in his interviews. Really hope he manages to get us CL qualification next year as I want him at the club for a few years.

I would be happy to see our youths coming through if they were good enough. Souttar was mocked simply because he will not improve our first team now. Whether we like it or not, we need to improve our first team drastically now. Not in two years. We have chosen to go down a route where we spend any money we have on project players and look where it has taken us. It is almost 3 years to the day when we beat Barca and then qualified from that group into the last 16. Look at us now. It is entirely self inflicted and although we cannot realistically expect to get through every year, we can expect to at least give ourselves a chance of doing so. By selling all the players we have we have cost ourselves money. It is a false economy doing what we are doing now.

For me the solution is simple really. Start buying players who are bought with the intention of making us better as a team and not ones that we hope we can develop simply to sell. The way we are going doesn't give any manager of us a chance. As I said last week, we will always be in transition. This myth about giving the manager time etc is complete nonsense. No manager will ever have time to build us a team because we know that if any of our players does come good they will be sold.

We should be buying players with experience as getting into the CL group stages will more than offset any monies we would make from selling. It would also attract fans back and give the club some pride back as well.

As a West Ham fan as well as County you'll get cartloads of effort from Carlton.

That's about it though, he's a total donkey.

I honestly think he'll bang in a few for you and for free it's not a bad deal, but don't expect anything massive from him. His record is roughly between 1 in 4 and 1 in 5.

I'll judge him on what he does for us but he must have something to have played over 330 top flight English games and have 7 full England caps.

Players like Cole are not just about goals, although he'll find them easier to come by with us than teams struggling against relegation in England.

Also brings bags of experience that people were looking for.
