Appreciate it'll be a small minority but there'll be a few who've cashed in twice on that game then. I imagine there's a fair few who were entitled to tickets, sold them on for extortionate fees and are now going to get a refund on top of that.

Coming out of UEFA's pocket I guess so unimportant in the grand scheme of things but you think they might have asked for a bit of proof that anyone claiming a refund was actually in Paris at the time (proof of travel or accommodation) of the game.

Find it daft you'll have some fans who've not gone to Paris being compensated and there'll be other fans who bought their ticket through a 3rd party and were actually caught up in the shambles that won't be compensated.

I've seen it mentioned that this situation didn't just impact Liverpool fans. Neutrals and Real fans were also impacted so truthfully it should be wider than just the Liverpool fans. We know members of the press got caught up in situations for example.

I think UEFA have released a list of the blocks impacted so presumably it'll cover some of those Real fans and press too.

I know it’s the BBC sport page I take a lot of what they report with a pinch of salt… but according to them it says all Liverpool supporters will get a refund.

From UEFA announces special refund scheme for fans following the 2022 Champions League Final in Paris | Inside UEFA

Given these criteria, the special refund scheme covers all of the Liverpool FC ticket allocation for the Final, i.e. 19,618 tickets. Due to the nature of the original ticket sales process, whereby Liverpool fans purchased tickets from Liverpool FC and not directly from UEFA, UEFA has requested that the club implements the refunds to ensure personal data protection and for ease of process. The club has kindly confirmed that it will implement the special refund scheme. Accordingly, UEFA will reimburse Liverpool FC the total value of these tickets and the club will then process the refunds to its supporters.

Refunds to fans of Real Madrid CF who meet the refund criteria will be processed based on the requests received from the ticket buyer via UEFA’s customer service. The same applies to neutral supporters who purchased tickets directly from UEFA and who are eligible for a refund.
