Harsh considering they beat you, Man Utd and Everton whilst playing like that at home...

Tbh i agree with the last post off the Sunderland fan. That is the worst we've played at home this season and still walked away with all 3 points. Only player out of that Sunderland defence today that i think is genuine premiership quality is Turner.

A game of two halfs, Sunderland battered us first half and vise versa, and to say that's the worst we've played all season at home and we still won 3-1 just goes to show how well we did. Nugent looked really good, he won all his headers, set up some good attacking play and scored 2 goals, and he was only on for about 25 minutes! Thought Bent looked really dangerous and he was unlucky that the ref called him offisde in the second half when he was clean through on goal. Overall realy pleased to get all 3 points from this game as i can't see us getting much from Spurs away next week!

Over the moon with that result.

i think it was very important we got somthing today just to steady the ship an rebuild some confidence up from our last two defeats.

an also delighted we scored 3 goals to instill some belief in our forwards.

i wonder what the forward line will be for the next game now after Nugents brace:hmmm

Nugent has to start, he's deserved it, in about 25 minutes he's scored more than our whole team put together all season before that game. I'd also be tempted to start Eagles as well, he was good v Liverpool when he came off the bench and again today he caused some problems.

Fantastic. Atmosphere this season has been immense. Nugent was brilliant, looks like another inspired signing. Eagles looked better today, maybe his confidence is up? If so give him a run of games let him show his true potential.

Fair enough overall we didn't exactly play that well, and the scoreline was probably a bit flattering. It shows how important Turf will be to us this season, our home form will be make or break to our season.

Excellent result, was really pleased with Nugent obviously. Thought Mears had a good game too, looks to be a decent signing.
