VAR at the World Cup

    I can understand rejecting it based on the poor trials it had in England towards the end of last season, but people seem to unanimously agree now that VAR has been positive for this World Cup, so I think it’s only a matter of time before it’s implemented in every top league.

    Yes - I totally agree it was badly mishandled but then most things seems to be by the FA whose competition had all the mess of VAR in.

    Even in this tournament VAR has not been perfect but much better than expected as you say.

    Well I kind of guessed it might crop up in the final and maybe not in a good way .

    Certain for some decisions there has been progress but handball really is something that divides opinion and hardly conclusive even with VAR as proved yesterday..

    There were even suggestions the 1st French goal was offside .

    Now we don't want VAR used for every goal etc otherwise the game will never end and people would get frustrated !
