Been playing a bit of Fallout 4 lately. I’m enjoying but it’s so far behind New Vegas in almost every aspect. It really is a modern marvel how quickly they got that game out whilst making it so good.

It’s Fajar that was ****ing me yeah, I was getting to him with no deaths and then leaving the area in my 50s

I improved it and got through at 51 but that’s still nowhere near good enough.

I’ve only been playing it a day so not too far, tried The Club which doesn’t seem too bad but obviously starting it in your 50s already puts you at a huge disadvantage.

It’s definitely a practice makes perfect type of game, until I got to Fajar I basically got through the level barely taking a hit but he was just impossible to predict.

It is practise makes perfect. It’s not just recognising moves of your enemies, it’s very much about timing. Avoiding or parrying at the right moment to get a chance to counter.

if you spend 10-15 minutes fighting his 2 phases in the training room (the wing Chung dummy in the starting area) you’ll beat him easy. His moves are predictable when you’ve faced him a few times and you just avoid his moves and counter him at the end. Avoid down and get your timings right. He only throws 1 low kick so if you can just worry about avoiding his mid/high kicks and punches pretty much. In the second phase where he jumps out of the tree with the machete, just avoid down at the last moment and you can avoid and counter. It’s an easy counter when you know the timing, otherwise it takes you for half your health.

You ideally need to be leaving the squats early 20s because the club can be quite challenging in parts. If you’ve got a death count of more than 1 then you’re gonna be old AF by the time you get to the boss. Don’t forget that you have shortcuts once you’ve beaten an area. You can miss about 70% of the first area once you’ve beaten fajar and get back to him on a few minutes. On the 3rd stage you can go straight to the boss fight (the 3rd boss is a nightmare)

Seasons on Fifa 24 or whatever its called now.

Currently have a record of 12 wins, 2 draws 0 losses. But as I work my way up the leagues I'm sure those losses will start happening.

Prefer this so much more to that ultimate team bollocks where every team you play has had a stupid amount of money pumped into it.

This was all I ever played but the matchmaking has been broken for years.

I’m only really interested in playing as Reading (obviously they’re my team but lower league teams are way more fun for me anyway, it isn’t just about picking PSG and pace abusing with Mbappe), but even with Reading I’ll actually keep getting put against PSG and Man City and whatever anyway. Load of shit.

This is far more enjoyable now that I’ve dropped the difficulty  that’s one tough game. The Club seemed to go on forever too.

Did anyone play point and click strategy games like Commandos or Desperados back in the day?

Apparently when it was first released it only had 1 difficulty, disciple which is the medium difficulty. So many players just couldn’t get out of the club and it stopped people playing it. They released a patch a few months after release with an easier and harder difficulty so it opened it up to far more gamers

It’s a difficult game but its one where when it starts to click, and the muscle memory kicks in, it becomes pretty easy. I’ve completed the game at age 20 on master level but that is with a couple of hundred hours of game play and it was still really difficult. I also came straight in to this game after playing Sekiro for months, where the combat and timings are really similar to sifu.
