The focus is the best in it's class for the money I suppose however there are much better cars in that category if you've got the money.

I would rather have the Civic or Golf more expensive however I wouldn't know how much it would be to bring the Focus up to the same standard as the Civic as Japanase cars have loads of stuff chucked in as standard.

As a first car I got a P reg Ford Fiesta 1.3. Had done 54k.

Pretty old but for a first car not too bad and got it for only £495

    ^

The AA are trying to get stricter laws brought in on modified cars because they are being put on to smaller older cars which cannot stand the upgrades in speed which makes them death traps basically.

Thinking of getting a Turbo Diesel Seat Leon.

You can modify them to have more than 200+ bhp.

Great idea C@rl, the roads of Britain need a few more inexperienced drivers in supercharged minis. :hmmm

You won't be offended if I don't believe you :).

I said in the other thread I got overtaken by the clio sport f1.... all white, black alloys and goes like stink. A few more years and I think i'll move up to a car in the 0-60 6-8 seconds bracket.
