Every team has rivals. I'm a Reading fan. I don't like Oxford or Swindon. Even Cardiff get our backs up. As a little girl, I supported Liverpool and still have a soft spot for them. We don't like Manure or Leeds. Everton are local, but no one takes them seriously Are there any teams you dislike for more personal reasons, rather then club rivalries? Perhaps a personal experience? Maybe because of an ex? Anything? For me?... Bristol Shitty. I went there for a women's game, which followed a mens game. I met a guy called Phil on a local pub. I think he was the Fans Liason Officer. He was a great guy, who passionately wanted people to like his club. He walked me from the pub to the ground, because I had to pass fans who had left the mens game. He said, "you won't make it alive", but assured me I'd be OK with him. I got challenged a few times along the way and I genuinely thought I was in a lot of danger. Thankfully, each time, Phil defused the situation. They all knew him! Once he said I was a friend of his, they backed off! Phil was great, but it left me with a crap view of the Bristol Shitty fans! That and the fact that several of them saw my Reading shirt and asked why I was wearing a QPR shirt! Derby County This is more straightforward. In my previous job, our head office was in Derby and there was a real feeling of 'them and us'. Many of them supported Derby County and almost everything the company offered us as an incentive seemed to assume we supported Derby County! I found myself rooting for them to get beat every week... Kinda liking this season
Never been keen on Dundee. I'd say Hamilton too but that's because they're like a shite that won't flush.
Tranmere Rovers, AFC Bournemouth, Leeds United, Derby County just because of their fanbase. #teamslikerotherham
Sheffield Wednesday. Their Fans are something else, 20 years out of the Top Flight but still think they're one of the Big 6. When we've played them in the league we got "This is your cup final" from them as we take a few... erm do you know where Scunthorpe is. Celtic. Mentally deranged would describe a lot of their fanbase. I've been to Parkhead and Ibrox as an away fan, Ibrox i was on the Subway after chatting with Rangers Fans no problem, Parkhead couldn't wait to get out of the area.
Bristol Rovers (Except for Gassy a good poster) Their fans are thugs in the main they love to fight for the sake of it. Doesn't help that i live among them and most of my mates support them.
Generalisation there. Got a good mate who is a millers fan, like to see them do well, not sure what we do to wind you up? Not heard much anti Rotherham stuff from fellow AFCB fans either tbf. Don’t really hate another club, Gillingham late 90’s with their thugball were annoying. Never warmed to Chelsea.
A club founded to feed poor Irish immigrants and bridge a culture gap between immigrants and locals, along with being a club open to all. A weird thing to despise.
Let's not pretend Celtic, or at least your more prominent fans, now represent anything to with the above though.
Tuning into the AFCB fans podcast after the 2-2 draw, the sense of entitlement, the big time charlie attitude, the we should be beating #teamslikerotherham, zero respect that's why.
Well not everyone is like that, like I said there's no real anti Millers stuff rom us, we should have played better, they were probably annoyed about that really. Best of luck for the season!
West Ham, mainly due to their fans - they might forever be blowing but they are blowing in the wrong direction and popping. They still think they are a top 6 club, their ground is a empty bowl with horrendous views aswell as the fans being deluded about that the club is midtable at best.
Rangers. I dislike the sectarianism that the club endorsed for far too long. When they came down to Goodison in the 90s for Dave Watson's testimonial, there was carnage, as they caused trouble outside the ground and in local pubs. In sharp contrast to when Celtic came down for Big Nev's testimonial, and were all as good as gold. Mind you, Rangers do seem to have s a history for unruly behaviour as evidenced by their fans' celebrations of their recent title win, and their visit to Manchester in 2008. But the big one for me, is the systematic attempt to cheat and defraud with the EBT Scandal and tax evasion. For a club, and set of fans, who wave the flag at every opportunity, claim to be loyal Brits, and even have a photo of the Queen in the dressing room, the hypocrisy is staggering. Not only that, but there appears to be an absolute absence of guilt, remorse, or embarrassment over what the club did. From a distance, they appear to be an awful, corrupt, immoral club.
