It's pot luck with me, as I don't know what I am doing photo wise. I just point, click and hope for the best.

Went to Tampa and Orlando last year for our honeymoon then I did the Tunnels to Towers 9/11 charity run from Brooklyn to the World Trade Center in September.

Skint AF after buying a house and the wedding/honeymoon so we're just sticking to Europe this year.

Went to Puerto Del Carmen in Lanzarote a couple of weeks back. 24 degrees (already) and as little as 1 Euro a pint in some bars. A bit chav but you can't really avoid it if you want good weather and don't want to travel too far at that time of year.

Going to Kefalonia with my old dear in June and Zante with the missus in July. Think I must've been to the Greek Islands 30+ times now! Still love it.

If we have any money left by the end of the year we'll try and go back to NY for a week but I reckon I'll need to win some bets for that to happen

Did Barca for 3 nights, got Palma de Mallorca booked in July.

Possibly going to do another European city, either Budapest, Copenhagen or a Slovenia trip.

Desperate to go to Australia or Japan as a big trip next year.

    In Salou right now.

Weather is amazing and the walk along the sea front is fantastic. Off to Barcelona on Friday ( a week on Friday ) to see the Magic Fountain show oh and Nou Camp.

I'm going to Aberporth for a couple of weeks next month.
Hoping to include a run up the coastal path.

Our Namibia/Botswana trip is coming up in a couple of months but we have already started to put together the itinerary for 2020's adventure.

We're doing the Pantanal and NE Brazil, with the main focus on birding but plenty of opportunities for Jaguars/mammals a bit of whale watching and seeking out some live music in Bahia.

Off to Adelaide for a week next Friday, doing a house sit so the accommodation is free. Not sure what there is to do around there apart from the Barossa valley but it’ll be a welcome break from work.

And we’ve just booked a week in Queensland in September, with a few days in Port Douglas for the reef and the rain forest and a couple of nights in Palm cove for the beach and the margaritas.

Anyone got any ideas for nice places for solo trips? Missus is going away in November with her family for 2 weeks and whilst I'm welcome I'd always feel like a sore thumb so wouldn't be comfortable. But I've got some spare time off work so thought I would take a week or a long weekend around that time and go somewhere on my own for some peace.

I'll probably stay in the UK, less hassle.

November is not a great time to do anything outside in the UK. The weather is usually grey and wet. Days are short.

It's the wife and a friend's joint birthday and we've often gone for European city breaks in recent years.

Plenty of good value deals in pubs with good food in places like the North Norfolk Coast or Southern Lakes if you'd just like to chill and stretch your legs. Less straightforward but narrows the options for you if you don't have a car.

My choice would probably be to build a long weekend around 3 or 4 interesting football matches/grounds combined with a decent local live music scene, some second hand vinyl shopping and perhaps a bit of bird watching. There's usually a Friday night, Saturday, Sunday, Monday night combination that can be made to work - especially if it's the First Round FA Cup weekend.

We will probably not afford to go to a foreign country again, but we will go to this nice resort by the sea we go each summer and maybe spent 5 days in Crete.
