    Losers

Poor Joe Allen, Rodger's adopted son, is he gonna be fancied by an incoming manager?

Lovren's days are surely numbered, the new manager won't have to justify his fee.

Will Milner still be assured of a CM berth? Doubt it.

Henderson had the trust of Rodgers, after a shaky start he became a guaranteed starter under him, will he retain the captaincy?

Several youngsters may not be fancied, Joe Gomez was O' Driscoll's recommendation, he could find minutes harder to come by now.

    Winners

Markovic? Ilori if he makes it back. Even Luis Alberto & Balotelli? :eeek

I'd like to think whoever comes in will give everybody a fair crack.

I'm sure Henderson will be fine seeing as though he's our best midfielder.

Mignolet surely? Don't get me wrong, he can be a cracking goalie at time ie two top class saves today, but I don't think any defence he is behind has any confidence in him. Poor distribution and error prone.
Milner for sure. I doubt he'll get his desired central midfield slot under a new manager.

Emre Can could get a boost if Klopp takes over. I can't imagine any new manager playing him at CB either.

I also wonder how Mr Jekyll & Hyde Martin Skrtel will fare long term, hope he gets a rocket up him, he's not deserving of being guaranteed a place.

Skrtel is an excellent defender in a compact, well organised team. Remember how good his was before Rodgers took over?

Under Dalglish yeah but he was bad just before that. He's good enough to play on his day, but he should not be seen by the manager as the best CB at the club & he should definitely have his place under threat. He's not Sami Hyypia, the bedrock of a solid defence, he's quite often a bloody clown & has been the main man in a joke of a defence from day 1 under Rodgers except when he lost his place after the Oldham game.

This isn't gonna be a popular opinion but think about it... Henderson is a good player, don't get me wrong, but he's another who shouldn't be guaranteed a place. He should play if his form is good enough & sometimes it hasn't been.

This is all endemic of a dropping in standards. The kind that has seen Milner guaranteed a place as a CM. The players need to feel like if they don't play well they'll be benched, no favourites unless your ability warrants it.

I look through the team & only Sturridge & Coutinho stand out to me as players who should be guaranteed their place if they can stay fit. Coutinho sometimes plays like shite but will generally thrive in the right system. Sturridge just needs games to build fitness & should never be left out if near match fit.

Or more likely they'll be cleared out slowly but surely as is often the way when a new manager takes over.

They may or may not think Sturridge is worth keeping (injury vs what he brings when fit), I suspect they'll want to keep a handful of the players for sure like Coutinho, but if we think a lot of our players aren't up to scratch I can't see the incoming manager thinking much different.

I think a lot of our players are clearly good enough I just think the squad is unbalanced in some areas. looking at say Klopp too, he tried to sign Benteke for instance. He'll like a lot of our squad.

It just depends on the players he's able to attract, if they're of a better standard than he will rightfully cull the squad to make way for them. It's not a top 4 squad just because we got in a few seasons ago.

Looking at the squads of last season's top 4, particularly United's, it's really not that far off...

If it's Klopp I think he'd love Henderson and would like Milner's work rate but he'd be given more of a Kuyt role.

I think he'd like Joe Allen as well because he can press well and when he's on his game he's very good at keeping the ball.

He'll know all about Firmino and Can from Germany as well.

Lovren and Lallana could find it tough as they were very much Rodgers buys and haven't fitted in and really need to go back to Southampton.

I think he'll be favouring Lallana over Allen as he's much more talented. Hey he might bring Sahin back! Players like him & Gundogan are different to the workhorse midfield we currently have, so I think Klopp will be looking to get a deep lying playmaker in there if he doesn't fancy Can for that role, there's a lack of control in the middle. I think Allen's days are numbered, I mean if he actually was the Welsh Xavi it would be a different story but alas he is not. & given the amount of similar CMs can see him making way.

I agree that Milner's role will change, he will have to prove that he's happy playing anywhere like he has said since he arrived. He's on enough money so he's owed nothing.

As long as Lovren goes im not too fussed, ive not felt so strongly about a player been useless since Konchesky. He just has to go. Saints must have been laughing all the way to the bank getting over 20m for him.

I wouldn't moan if Mignolet or Lalllana leave. And I don't like Sahko much (yes I know most really like him).

I hope Henderson stays, and stays as captain. I really like the way he fits with us.

Apparently Klopp is good finding roles that fit ok players & get the bet out of them so we can expect a few different players being tried in different roles, that doesn't mean he'll do the square peg in round hole thing Rodgers has though. Hope not anyway.

just hope Can is put into midfield & Gomez gets a shot at CB, I think he could nail down a first team place there if given the chance

A Sakho & Gomez partnership would be my preference for the time being.

If you've got Coutinho and Firmino there's no place for Lallana.

depends on the formation, he often played on the right or left of 3 for Southampton.

I don't think he offers anything there.

Well it's strange as 4-2-3-1 never seemed to work under Rodgers so a new manger could get things ticking again, & Lallana could get a new lease of life within that.

Don't get me wrong, he frustrates me with the lack of end product & he goes missing, he's not a 25m player but he has ability. He's not a write off by any means.
