There just seems a lot of players you want in the lineup, but to get them in you're going to have to leave someone out.

Where does Can fit in a 4231? What formation gets Firmino and Coutinho in their best spots? Ings deserves to keep playing, but that means Benteke doesn't... Also don't forget you have to keep Sturridge out there.

I think some tough choices are going to be made if someone with the right mind comes in.

We will need to leave people out there is no doubt about that, but if person gets the best out of what he puts out, there is options that can easily come on from the bench and still maintain the performance level, possibly even up the performance. I think we have a good amount of good players within that squad and the right manager will get the best out of them.

I dunno Milner strikes me as the guy who would play keeper if you asked him. Am I wrong?

How many players are left that Rodders inherited? Skrtel, Henderson, Lucas off the top of my head without spending more than 15 seconds thinking about it, and not many more. Some of the players are decent, maybe "not up to scratch" wasn't quite the right way to put it, but I can't see Klopp sitting on this squad and making no changes.

Of course it could be a bad thing if he brings in 5-8 players a season like we did under Rodders :

12/13 (5) Borini, Allen, Assaidi, Sturridge, Coutinho
13/14 (6) Alberto, Aspas, Sakho, Ilori, Mignolet, Toure
14/15 (8) Lambert, Lallana, Lovren, Balotelli, Origi, Moreno, Can, Markovic
15/16 (7) Gomez, Milner, Ings, Bogdan, Firmino, Clyne, Benteke

Disregarding fees etc that's a lot of new signings in four seasons, 6.5 average a season and how many of those a) are still here and b) do you think will still be if and when Klopp has been here 3+ years? I think he'll decide on a backbone, make a few changes but hoping not lots of players in and out which can be destabilising, and once he's maybe jettisoned 4-6 players a window he'll have brought in enough to make a difference in the first team.

Problem has been for all the signings under Rodders the first team wasn't improved on.
