It’s OK, you get used to the uptight, Pimm’s sipping toffs after a while.

Crazy that a football mad country like England with the huge grounds already in place will still be waiting over 60 years to host another WC.

We're talking about heritage here Josh. People from the West Country really should embrace it more: Wales - Wikipedia

No chance we are getting the 2030 World Cup. It will go to Uruguay who hosted the first ever 100 years prior.

To be honest should the 100 year celebratory World Cup go to a country whose stuffy FA refused to enter the competition until its 3rd decade?

The romantic notion would be to let South America have it with Uruguay hosting again alongside Argentina.

We need to make sure we get the next European World Cup but if its South America in 2030 you could be looking at China 2034, Africa 2038 before it comes back around again.

Can’t be all lovey dovey like the Germans. Oh, wait...

All in good fun. Britons are brothers. Brothers squabble and fight. But we’ll be ready for when you lot try again.

    :D. OK, good to know!

Yeah, I can't stand the Bavarians, they can't even speak proper German.
Not to mention the Hessians or the Saxons ;) All in good fun, cheers

Back to topic: World Cup 2030: Argentina/Uruguay, please!

US/Canada/Mexico and Uruguay/Argentina certainly sounds better than Russia and Qatar. Should be plenty of options for getting to both too which will keeps the costs down relative to Qatar.

I only love my wife and my daughters ;).

I am no friend of this triple host World Cup 2026 but with Mexico in it we have at least one country that is football mad (although they already hosted 2 World Cups).

Russia was, against my expectations, a good World Cup. Although it was an European World Cup, I didn't attend this one and watched it only on TV. I am sure that I won't visit this Qatar World Cup either.
(I visited World Cups in Spain, Italy and France, though, my traditional holiday targets, and the German one, of course.)

There’s no need (beyond those that benefit parasites) for a triple host when the three countries are the sizes that they are and with the (potential) infrastructure they have. The only ‘benefit’ I can see is that Canada will get a run out. That being said, I’ve yet to visit any of the three host countries (though I plan on visiting New York soon) so I guess that is a bonus for me personally.

I’ll be in Qatar with a large flag that will make a clear statement opposing slavery in some way or the other (if I’m still alive. Ho hum). Starting to think of ideas already. Depending on how strict they are (Russia was very hit and miss to get in but there were many security/officials including some I think were from the FA security team checking flags). May have to settle for a large portrait of Wilberforce or, one of my personal favourite historical figures, Granville Sharp (in addition to the new England flag I’ll be having made up when I get the funds together).
