I'd go with something lairy like:

    Speroni
    Ward Delaney Gabbidon Moxey
    Bolasie Jedinak Garvan Zaha
    Wilbraham Banton

Or, assuming Williams is fit, play him instead of Banton and stick Zaha up top.

We need something less predictable otherwise it's going to be more of the same.

Not much strength in depth there AJ, an injury to a striker and you're playing Wilbraham. Doesn't strike me as a player who should be anywhere near a Championship play-off team, let alone starting.

Phillips isn't a bad sub though.

Wouldn't mind that Kirbs tbh. Just hope we have a go and it's not like the second leg in Cardiff last year.

Yeah, I agree. Shame Dobbie can't play as he's been our best attacking player in the last couple of weeks. Think Wilbs can do a job though, wasn't bad tonight when he came on. IMO anyway.

    Maybe more like:

    Speroni
    Ward Delaney Gabbidon Moxey
    Jedinak Garvan
    Bolasie Banton Zaha
    Wilbraham

Maybe even Moritz, although he doesn't strike me as one for a battle.

Rumours are that he stormed out of the changing room after the match tonight. So we'll see.

Can't wait for Monday. Feeling really confident now.

Do we play Vicente from the start or save him for later just in case it goes into extra time?

    Moritz?

    Wouldn't surprise me.

Even the likes of KG and an off-form Bolasie are getting in ahead of him.

Zaha is the only hope for Palace now. He was the only player to really worry Brighton although I did like the look of Bolasie when he came on. Brighton should get through now though as Palace are strong at home but not as potent away. Because I want Palace to win they won't, every team I want to win in the play-offs seems to end up losing.

Brighton looked the better team in the first half but switching Zaha to the other wing in the second half worked for Palace. I was very frustrated wanting Palace to win as I did by the performances of Moxey and Williams. To me they tended to make all the wrong decisions and Williams always seemed the player to mess up a Palace attack. I think Palace will be a better team in the second leg with Bolasie playing instead of Williams. It is a shame Murray got injured though everything is going Brighton’s way.

Good luck to Palace in the second leg but I fear for you I am afraid.

Vicente's days are over,if he was any good anymore he would be starting and finishing most games,he may get a 20 minute goodbye cameo on monday if he's lucky.

Disagree. Think he is a class player but when he plays the whole team relies on him to produce something. He's best as a sub.

I respect your opinion bud but clubs don't leave a so called top quality player on the bench for massive games.Just think his time is up now and obviously gus must see this, hope he gets a last crack at the whip though.

I agree he will not be here next season, think it's more to due with him tiring quickly why he doesn't start more though. Especially with the possibility of 120 mins + pens, very much doubt he'll start on Monday.

Ankergren, Painter, El-Abd, Crofts, Orlandi, Barnes, Vicente

Vicente to come on at half-time if we aren't winning. Think it would be wise to bench Orlandi after coming off last night. Possibly Crofts in for Hammond also, but he's not as good in the air or with the ball, though is more dynamic.

Wouldn't surprise me if Poyet started with Barnes and Vicente though.

Biggest concern for us is RB as Bolasie and Zaha will have the beating of Calde for pace, so we will have to deal with that tactically as we did in March. Big boost for us that Murray is out, as Wilbraham just isn't on the same level.

What I'm most worried about is getting to 70 mins or so at 0-0 and then becoming nervous which would likely coincide with the arrival of Kevin Phillips.

Get an early goal and I think we'll be alright for a 2 or 3-0 as Palace will have to seriously come out. The longer it remains scoreless, the more it plays into Palace's hands. Obviously an early goal for Palace would be the worst as we are awful at winning from behind (not done it once all season and only once in the first game of last) and Palace would then be able to play on the counter.
