Leeds and Burnley promoted to the Premier League. Scott Parker and Farke working wonders there. Congratulations to both
Burnley cricket club here we come I'd be very interested to see how Patker gets on. There's a decent manager in there somewhere if he can be arsed to stick with it.
Conceding 15 goals so far all season is ridiculous. If they can keep that and score the odd goal then who knows. Rather them than us anyway
Not sure if I should congratulate both teams or commiserate with them. That said hopefully they put up a better fight than the last lot did. Enjoy the summer and next season if you can.
Elland Rd and Turf Moor added to my travel itinerary for next season. Hopefully if the Premier League get their act together ,two out of three grounds that City fans wont be visiting.
Burnley will definitely put my theory to the test that too many teams are trying to come up and 'play' and not enough of them are trying to keep it tight and secure first. They are resolute on the face of it and I think it's how teams should try and stay in the division.
It’s a nice idea but I’ve got my reservations. I think recruiting the required attacking talent to win the odd game whilst staying within the financial restrictions might be all but impossible for them given the state of PSR/whatever. Who knows. Good luck to them if they can manage it.
Both are US owned right? Leeds could spend a lot and take the ffp 2 point fine. If you survive the first season you can pile all the pain in the one season and shrug.
Yep clear incentive is to breach the rules. Only way of staying up and you get rewarded with European football (unless you’re Everton). Let’s spend
Like them both, glad they are back and I look forward to our clashes with them in the new season. They would rather have that instead of another season in the second tier…. but then my other half supports Watford and she does not want to see them go up for that reason…. the short stay! She has her wish confirmed now!
Absolute brilliant have them back , Cricket club and a trip to Brighouse on way to Elland Road, now hopefully Sunderland or Coventry back in Premier League.
Too early to think about what a Premier League campaign looks like for these teams, but promotion was necessary for the finances so thank god for that at least
Sunderland won't win the playoffs to get the final spot, just not good enough. It'll probably end up being Sheffield United.
