Pity Gasperini is 66, clubs would have been writing him blank cheques in the current manager market. 5 Premier league wins gets you in at a European giant.
You when you saw Kompany is taking over Bayern...

I think if Atalanta finish outside the top 4 then it'll be six teams in. I'm not 100% sure on all the scenarios though.

It had to happen at some point but tbh I would have preferred it if it had happened on Saturday in the DFB Pokal final against Kaiserslautern

Gasp is going to Napoli for sure.

Who knows who is going to coach Atalanta, after 8 incredible years with Gasp... It won't be easy. Atalanta before Gasperini was an average mid-table team. They only used to have (and they still have) the most important youth sector in Italy.

Gasperini schooled Xabi last night. He obviously did a comprehensive study on how to counter Leverkusen and the pressing worked spectacularly. It immediately put Lev on the back foot helped by atrocious individual performances (HincapiƩ and especially Grimaldo) and they never really recovered afterwards. Frimpong aside (who I thought was a waste as an attacking winger, reckon he would have caused more trouble playing in Stanisic's position), I don't recall a single other player having a half-decent game.
Saying this, I don't think any other Atalanta player than Lookman could have scored that comfortably last night. De Ketelaere is a fine player but lacks the killer instinct in front of goal while Scamacca, well, it didn't look like he had his scoring boots on (didn't need to though). Lookman had a blinder, just one of those nights where everything went in.

Xabi just learned the harsh lesson that he needs to beat Italian tactical geniuses if he wants to win European trophies. Good luck with that, many have failed.
