Nice to see Rectum going out. What will the media do now?

What a rubbish draw (except possibly Wealdstone) for the non league teams

And Kettering v Doncaster but yes few away ties.

Saw Gainsborough T could have got Wrexham but they lost to Harrogate today.

Should be a live game, relatively local and would suspect that we will see a record crowd at the Vale.

Only fly in ointment is Watford /qpr - 12.30 on Saturday, West Ham/arse live at 5:30, Chelsea live the day after and Spurs playing too. Affects the floating fans that we have and in London , most are 2CWs.

Didn’t Gainsborough give Wrexham an almighty scare in the FA Trophy a few years ago?

3rd away game in a row in this comp and away against another league two side, no better than Crewe so we have a chance with a nice new ground to tick off.

Would expect Wealdstone v Wycombe, Kettering v Doncaster and Reading v Harborough to be televised

Harrogate v Gainsborough also a possibility, as would be Crawley's home game if Chesham win tonight

Aye, that and Kettering vs. Doncaster are the only two games I could say are certs to be on TV before our tie. Such a first world problem this, but I'd made plans to be in Leeds on the Sunday evening of the 2nd round, not even considering that we could be playing on the Sunday that weekend. Friday night, Saturday or Monday night if we do make it onto TV please...

They're all going to be mundane ties unless you flip a local Derby or one of the few bigger clubs in L1

Yeah I found that reaction a bit strange too. I don't know what he expects from round one and two FA Cup draws when you're a traditional Football League club. With the exception of a couple of teams in League One there aren't any big clubs in the draw. And even then you're stretching it a bit to call the likes of Birmingham, Bolton and Charlton big attractive draws . And outside of them all you're left with is run of the mill lower league teams and the non-leaguers. Not sure what exciting ties he's gutted about missing

Yeah it's a snoozefest until you get to Round 3 as a BELT. Even then you get all excited and end up drawing Oxford away.

Didnt say anything about wanting a big exciting tie. All i said was bloody leyton orient? Meh

Youve joined alot of dots there in your post.

I say meh because it ticks literally no boxes for me.

    Ground ive not done X
    Huge money spinner X
    Local derby X
Quirky minnow ground you wont do again X
    Easy home tie X
    Likely to be televised X
    good chance Of progression X

To say theres few ties to get excited about in the 2nd rd is nonsense. Orient just isnt one of them
