Tamworth would probably have lost if their game had gone straight to a replay in the 2nd round though
Could be worse, I remember us pulling Oxford away in the 3rd round after beating both Yeovil and Exeter away in 1st and 2nd rounds. Still pisses me off that.
I actually don’t think that’s a bad draw for Dagenham. If they approach it the right way, it could be a great day for them like it was for us at Sheffield Utd 5 years ago. Also, it’s close and they’ll take loads and there’s enough space for them to take loads as well.
Not content with running the National League board, Daggers must have someone choosing the games at ITV too. Massive financial bonus to have 2 matches televised that would usually never get close to TV. Will Strevens get to spend it?
You shouldn't be allowed to charge more than league prices for any cup game. Mad that it's allowed Feel like Tamworth will lose a lot of goodwill doing that
They're doing it because they can get away with it - enough people will be prepared to pay those prices, which itself is the problem
Hopefully Tamworth are humiliated by Spuds kids live on TV. It’s shameful profiteering. They can use the occasion to make money from one off commercial deals if they are desperate for additional funds.
Hilarious that some are trying to justify it by claiming it’s because there’s no replays anymore. a) when was the last time a non league club had a replay away at a premier league team? b) Tamworth probably wouldn’t be in round 3 if replays were still a thing.
We took Premier League Charlton to a replay. Our 3rd round tickets for Millwall are £12 Adult £5 kids Season ticket holders prices, 5 extra everyone else.
I do get a slight increase to be fair. Extra security costs to consider but no more than a fiver compared to league prices. They’ve taken the absolute piss here and the bad PR is going to undermine Tamworth’s ‘fairytale story’.
