Thanks mate It would actually be interesting to see the outcome if we did it all again from scratch. Even without stating people had to pick a different 10, I suspect a lot of original lists would look entirely different.
I will now come back to this. If there is one person I could bet on not understanding what I was doing with the top 3, guess who it would have been?
I forgot to mention, but A Flood of Light that was the opening song on my list now has a music video.
My top song would remain the same unless I had to change it, but the rest might shuffle around a bit.
If I had to do it in the very near future I imagine my top 10 would be the same and probably in the same order. However, with so much new music now at my fingertips, it's highly likely to be different if I revisited it in 12 months time. Maybe "Favourite Song" could be an annual event for the football off season (or bi-annual to avoid a collision with Euros/World Cup)
Predictable but totally deserved winner. The fact that this song is loved across several age groups tells you what a classic it is. I really dont understand why I didn't originally pick it to be honest, I tried to keep my picks to one per artist and I've always loved "I Want to break Free"...I guess I just wanted to be different, knowing this would be a massively popular choice. Not a bad version, inferior to the original though. Guitar solo didn't give me that same "hair standing up at the back of my neck" feeling as Gilmours does.
Yeah. They done it for some charity gig I think. I first heard it watching The Departed and couldnt believe I was hearing Van Morrisons voice. Surprised there werent more Pink Floyd tracks picked in the full list. Only 2 at a quick glance.

Musical artists might be better. There is such a huge choice for songs/albums, that we will barely get any choices with more than one vote. At least for artists we will see multiple votes for each.
