Mark Hughes' first game in charge of QPR will be a difficult one as Newcastle are having an impressive season.

But with Demba Ba out, could this be the right time to play Newcastle?

    Predictions?

I'm going for 2-1 home win.

I think Newcastle are going to struggle without Ba and Tiote so I'm going to say QPR 1-0 win.

Best starts, but for me, he's a Championship player, as is Shola. But Pardew does seem to have the knack of getting just enough out of his players to secure some points.

The game down at Loftus Road should have been a home win every day of the week, yet we got a point out of it. Barton's out of it, as there are a few others of the QPR side, like two of our important players, out with the Africa Nations.

I'm hopeful Shola and Best can take a chance, though they both need about 5 chances to convert. Prediction 2-1 Toon.

3 - 0 to Newcastle with QPR a man down.

We took the three points with having one shot on target in the whole game. Yes it's great to play badly and win, but when we're not creating chances, and having few people getting into the box, it's dull.

Shola and Cabaye were poor today. Not sure what Cabaye was doing after Derry's tackle. Collo, Taylor and Williamson took the plaudits in my book. Our midfield had a shocker - very ineffectual against a poor team.

Really hope Pardew can get a striker in.

Very dull game, with the addition of a few meaty challenges by the QPR players ( reminded me of Wolves ) ..

BUT its games like that in which you play bad but still take the 3 points which help you confirm your place within the top half of the table. Id rather play a shocker and take all 3 points than play outstanding and only settle with 1.

You've also got to realise that we were missing 2 key players in Ba and Tiote, with Cabaye being subbed not long into the game aswell.

Have to say that Santon was outstanding ... hes adapting well for his first season in the Premiership

Don't get me wrong, I'd take this against Fulham next week in a shot.

But we need a bit of help in a couple of areas.
