Another guaranteed loss. Don't know if I can even be bothered going to this. Johnstone Semedo Dawson Toti Aït-Nouri Forbs André J.Gomes R.Gomes Strand Larsen Cunha
Looks like we've got everyone a little rest. Kelleher Trent Konate Vvd Robertson Gravenberch Macallister Szoboszlai Salah ??? Diaz We were starting Jota who didn't play well for 3 or 4 games imo and now he's scored 2 midweek. We gave nunez 2 in a row and he worked hard but isn't the same player Jota can be I couldn't call thst selection
Usually a tough place to go but they don't look to be in great form so would be disappointed not to win this one. Have most of our first 11 rested the only real debate is the attack which could be Mo Salah plus any two tbh. Gakpo & Diaz are in great form so would expect at least one of them probably Lucho as he's had a rest then it's whether Darwizzy keeps his place again or Jota is back up front..I'd go Nunez personally as I don't think Jota has played well against Wolves since he left them and overall I don't think he's doing enough to be guaranteed that spot yet. Could just go Gakpo up top though to get all the form players in. Nice to have these options lol.
Slot has been full of praise lately for the work rate of Nunez and the fact he gets back to defend. It's only minutes that will bring the animal back to Nunez's game and lets face facts here he's not been picking up a lot of them. I think every team need that player that has the capabilities to pull off the extraordinary and work hard for the team. Like any player he needs a consistent run of games to push himself into any kind of form ,but I'm sure the manager is more than aware of his qualities ,likewise Gakpo who seems to have vastly improved his game in his spell watching the start of the season from the subs bench. Liverpool's options up front are ridiculous if Slot engenders the same degree of hunger into all those attackers as he has in Diaz. I have a feeling away games will suit the manager more than the concerted pressure that comes with a home game that carries the expectancy to win and win well. I'd personally take a 0-1 and slope away with three points and a clean sheet.
It's a good thing to see that he will kick them like quansah on the park if needed but then give them a gee up to keep them all interested. So far I've not heard a bad word about one player from him so that's what we want publicly. There's enough people to kick you without your one manager doing it.
Apparently Alfie Pond might start tomorrow because we're such a well run football club. That's Alfie Pond who couldn't get in the Stockport team last season btw.
Alisson Becker: Liverpool keeper talks motivation and says 'best is still to come' He's had a shave. Liverpool fan cliche here, but the best keeper in the world for me. So fortunate to have him.
We are very very lucky in many of the players we got. Alisson is the best keeper I have seen anywhere in my lifetime
