France coach Didier Deschamps has confirmed that he has handed Karim Benzema a shock recall for the Euros. Deschamps has included the Real Madrid striker in his 26 man squad, over five years after his last call-up. The 33 year-old hasn't played for France since news broke in November 2015 of his alleged involvement in an attempted blackmail case linked to a sex tape featuring his former France team-mate Matthieu Valbuena. Benzema has denied any wrongdoing. He’s due to stand trial on a charge of conspiracy to attempt blackmail later this year.
