9 great penalties so far….no pressure Dan James.

    Edit: Unlucky.

    Awful penalty.

Ok wasn't quite as bad on the replay, Szczęsny made it look like a simple save.

Really poor penalty with the game on the line there.

Absolutely brutal, but when you're relying on Dan James to score your 5th penalty you're up shit creek, let's be honest.

Fair play to Poland. Very professional performance.

Yeah piss poor. Surely theres someone with a bit more experience and bottle in the side?
Makes the decision to take Brooks off look even weirder, I'd back him every day.

Yep , even the Germans did tonight albeit conceding in the process .

Slovenia in England's group beat Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal 2-0 , good result for them .

Disappointed obviously. What a way to go out on penalties.

Am sure the English are loving it right now. What goes around and all that.

Anyway congrats to Poland and all the best to them.

I can't speak for all English people obviously, but I'd always prefer that a home nations team does well. I get it's not exactly reciprocated, but hey ho!

He’s been ill this week and was doubtful. Assume he signaled to come off.

To be honest we don't really care . We're in different leagues when it comes to football.

    Good for you.

Been a fun time for us starting back in 2016 but the run is over.

Can concentrate on the sheep shearing world cup soon.

I actually want home nations to qualify, just for the banter. Poland will no doubt stink out the tournament...

Got to feel so sorry for Dan James. He will have this against his name forever and a day. Not going to blame him at all as I have never been in a high pressure situation like that in which he had to score. Take my hat off to him at least wanting to take a spot kick.

Just wasn't to be but at least we have moved on from the circus show we had with Bale. The old guard is slowly coming to an end and so starts a new chapter for us. Looking forward to the Nations League starting in September and WCQ next year so onwards and upwards.

Not long to the Euro's starting in June and will watch every game.

Fancy the French to come good and win it.
