Turnbull has a good shot on him and a decent first touch but his mobility (lack of) will see him struggle in the Championship. Very one footed too.

    How is Idah?

He’ll be coming in as a back up for us I’d imagine but looks like he offers something different to our current first choice striker.

Our one single target fell through, we have such great talent dealing with our transfers.

Has a lot of the raw ingredients to be a good striker but hasn't had the regular playing time to really find his groove/killer instinct. I think he's technically played over 100 games for us but they've mostly been cameos from the bench.

If he is just a backup hopefully we'll find him another loan for him next season.

Would have liked him to stay but he wanted to go back to the midlands. 5-6m initial profit not bad for according to some Boro fans “a L1 player”

    To replace him… nobody… :ashamed

Isaac Hayden in. Not sure if he's any good these days?

Joe Hodge from Wolves. A young attacking mid, who was on their bench last night. Any Wolves fans?

Edit, found some. @Bonjers @DunblaneWolf Hodge any good?

Ipswich probably did the best in terms of strengthening this window.

Dutch winger Million Manhoeff signs from Vitesse (undisclosed but supposed to be worth around 4 million Euros). Sounds like he can play down both sides and also wing back - Potters bag Million as Manhoef makes move

Striker Niall Ennis joins from Blackburn. Doesn't look like he's done much there (injuries?) although he did well under Schumacher at Plymouth last season - Potters sign striker Niall Ennis

Dwight Gayle released from his contract. He's always been very professional and likeable but there's no hiding he's been a disastrous signing overall (scoring just three goals). He had several disallowed not long after he arrived, some which should have stood, and never fully recovered. Big wage off the books - Gayle departs Potters

Yeah good window for us, although in squad terms we’re obviously on catchup with some of the rest of you. Sarmiento gives us a good option for our 10s, Travis adds much needed depth to the midfield, Moore is a very good replacement for Hirst and Al-Hamadi will hopefully turn out to be an upgrade on Ladapo in time. Didn’t manage to get Johnson but Williams is apparently back at the club now; if he’s got himself sorted then he’s a quality option at fullback. Stronger now squad-wise than at the beginning of the month for sure.

Trust Ipswich to sort their striker situation right before we play them. Fancying a debut goal for Moore.

So far his record for us is played 11, goals 0. So it’s about time

Dire Mebude signed on loan. Real wildcard, only 3 senior appearances in Belgium. We'll see how this goes.

Max Bird signed for next season, presumably an indication at least one of James and Williams will not be offered a contract beyond this season.

It was a busy last few days.

We got Ryan Giles and Anass Zazoury on loans, two players that did well at this level as recently as last season.

We signed someone from Turkey called Omur for what is reportedly £2m. Some people are excited, but I am cautious as players we've signed from there have either been injured, shite, and/or non-existent. Traore has been the best addition from that league and he is frustratingly inconsistent.

Injuries to Delap and Connolly leaves us with Billy Sharp and new loanee Noah Ohio up top for a while. Hopefully the latter turns out to be a surprise.

We've also loaned out Sinik, Lokilo, Ryan Woods, Vaughan, and Lo-Tutala. All not good enough for this level for varying reasons. The Donny lot were certainly correct about Lokilo last summer.

And we sold Sayyadmanesh to a club in Belgium. Real shame as I liked what I saw initially, but setback after setback didn't help him settle here.

Given the players signed, I think it would be a disappointment to miss out on the play-offs, but as long as we are competing for them until the final day, it will be seen as a good leap forward.

    Just one incoming, Connor Roberts.

I think that is probably just about sufficient for us in this window. Having Roberts at right back gives us two decent enough options in each fullback position and allows us to play Archie Gray in centre mid when needed.

Seemed to do pretty well in the summer.

    He's shite.

Small, slow, weak, not skillful, can't shoot or unlock a defence, slow to react to situations defensively and doesn't have the passing range to make up for all that. I wouldn't describe him as an attacking mid, he's more of a deep lying playmaker without the playmaking. You'd expect a player like that to at least be 'tidy' but he's incredibly sloppy as well, he'll regularly **** up simple passes. There have been several occasions where he's not even shown the basic requirement of putting in a bit of effort to track back. On top of all that he seems to have a bizarrely high opinion of himself, he made his debut just before the World Cup last year and has already given 2 interviews to local press moaning about a lack of game time.

No idea how he's made it as far as he has tbh, he's incredibly lucky to have been given the opportunities he's already had. I doubt that he will ever make it at League 1/2 level never mind Championship.

I've just read this from your manager as well

“He is a player who is very comfortable in possession, very good in small spaces, very good in the passing game.

“He can play as an ‘8’ or as a ‘10’. He can also play as a ‘6’ but his natural position is an attacking midfielder, and he has determination to improve himself as a player.”

I'd be very worried about your scouting if I were you because that description of him bears no resemblance to reality.
