Anderson has signed on a free. 29 year old attacking midfielder. Played with our manager previously and has 7 Denmark caps. Happy with that, its been a very good window for us.
Not sure this should be under the "official" thread since it's now in the balance but since we "announced" the deal as done, here we go. What a shambles!
You have a good player in Bird, keeps the ball well, can find a killer pass, and at 23 will improve, so you now have 2 very good young players from us, after getting Knight in the summer. How has Knight been for you, I was a massive fan off him when at Derby, works his balls off, and has great energy, and again given his age he should get better.
Sounds promising mate, looks like he put in a great performance at Charlton too even after the transfer stuff? Knight was superb under Pearson, under Manning he isn't quite as suited but I think he'll find a role deeper in the side next year. Him and Bird should be a decent enough pairing.
We've managed to sell Sinisterra (to Bournemouth) for about the fee we paid for him, so will represent a FFP profit due to him being 2 years into his 5 year contract. He's clearly got talent, but was always injured last season (and had similar issues before we signed him), so works well for us that he's gone. Equally, for Bournemouth, if they can get him playing without getting injured, he'll be a good price for them.
Can’t make up my mind on him so far. I’m a little surprised we’ve jumped to make it permanent this early. Has 45 minutes where he looks great and then he’ll disappear. Definitely offers more goal threat at PL level than many of our players, when he’s on it. Granted any winger with his potential talent on a good day won’t be at Bournemouth if he’s consistently on top of his game, because that’s good enough to be solid top half. He came here injured but since getting over that touch wood it’s been fine, but I think his involvement is being managed carefully. It’s noticeable he doesn’t start two games a week and when he does start he doesn’t go longer than an hour or so. Not sure where this leaves Jaidon Antony. There’s a player in there as well, all be very different to Sinisterra. He’ll play 95 minutes twice a week in about 3 different positions and give it everything. Different but very useful in it’s own way.
I think if he doesn't get injured, he'll be a good signing for you. There is a lot of quality to him. For us he just couldn't keep himself fit. Hence been pleased we've managed to get our money back on him. Antony hasn't done too much here, been unfortunate that Summerville, James and Gnonto play in his position so he hasn't had many opportunities. His level doesn't look premier league, but as you say, he works hard and is a good personality, so hopefully he can get regular game time somewhere.
