    Link?

In two minds for this one, money well spent i'd say, but still a bit overboard, considering we need a few more key players and most of our budget has gone on one player.

Well that's Man Us plan A out the window. Fergie was claiming the fee of £22M was too high in todays market and wanted it reduced to £15M. With such an offer on the table, iether stump up or shut up Fergy!

What would be the point in signing him, where would you play him?

Perhaps upfront or coming in from the left. Similar to how he plays for Argentina.

We have priorities elsewhere but you can never have too many quality players. Tevez scores big, big goals. You cannot deny that being a big asset.

Can see the fee being about that, but £160,000 per week? I doubt we'd pay him that much. We'd have a players revolt if Tevez came in on that kind of wage.

As for where we'd play him. I could only see him slotting in on the left, as Masch say's, he plays there for the Argies doesn't he? He's a similar player to Kuyt in his work-rate, etc and that's the type of player Rafa loves...so maybe Rafa see's another striker/winger conversion?

I was under the impression it was Aguero coming in from the left and Tevez the main man upfront.

In truth, I've not watched a lot of Argentina recently, but from what I do remember (probs before Aguero broke through) Tevez was always playing on the left/left striker sort of position.

All three interchange, but from what I've seen Tevez plays out wide most. He's played there before, but I've said in another thread he hasn't been that impressive there.

I don't think we'll sign him to be honest. We could probably sign Aguero, Villa or Silva for that amount.

We don't need Tevez at all? He'll be another Keane. We don't need another Prima-donna striker.

Maybe that's Rafa's plan, Kuyt on one wing, Tevez on the other, opposing full backs will have nightmares facing either one of them.

I honestly can't see us paying him £160,000 per week, that's why I'm not really taking the story serious.

160k a week would be very extreme and probably wouldn't go down too well with some of the other players, I would love to see him in a Liverpool shirt next season but I don't want most of our budget going just on one player.

Although we need another quality striker we also need a right back,a center mid to replace Lucas, probably another center back now that Hyypia is moving on and a winger to compete on the right with Kuyt. There's no way we can afford all that on top of a deal for Tevez I wouldn't have thought.
