I agree with one thing, Rafa or the papers are playing mind games, yet I still really don't believe Rafa is after Tevez! Also the wages (£160K) are laughable.... Gerrard isn't even on that
I am not sure if Rafa is prepared to sign Tevez, but he has defo got Fergy and the mancs in a sweat! As for the £160K per week rubbish, SG recently got a rise to approx £125K per week, SGs contract, he must be on no less money than anyother LFC player, the same as Terry of Chelsea. Torres is now on £100K, common sence, £90k for Tevez if it happens.
Torres was on 70K, with his new contract hes will be on 90K, still a real bargin http://www.footballforums.net/forums/showpost.php?p=4202166&postcount=73
I thought the highest paid players in England were still Terry and Ballack, both on £130k/week. But let's be honest here, none of us know. Few clubs release transfer fees anymore, let alone wage details, so we all go on sketchy newspaper results, the vast majority of which must be ball park estimations. The exception being poor old Riise when they went through his rubbish bin.
What a load of shit. Silva is clearly a better option for 20m on the left, right or behind the striker and Rafa has already confirmed his interest in him which he has never done with Carlos. Tevez woud be a good signing but not in place of players who would fit a winning system. The fact of the matter is Rafa can't afford him. Unless you believe all that other made up shit about Alonso leaving. Don't get me started on those wages.
Well if there's one thing Benitez has learned from the Keane saga is that you can't just buy any old good player, you have to buy a good player who'll fit in the system you play.
Tevez is 24 I think, and Liverpool would have to pay £32m, which is his fee, we've already paid £10m, if we go to sign him, which is the main reason I can't see you signing him. It'll be us or city I think.
Think your figures are mixed up! the loan fee is just that! a loan fee (£10m for 2 seasons), the purchase fee will be around £22m for united, thats an agreed fee pre-arranged under contract 2 years ago, united signed the contract & can't renegotiated the price! Simply put! they buy or walk! they can't renegotiate the price that the problem! Now the 22m price tag, don't mean every club who goes after Tevez will have to pay that price!!! They can renegotiate a whole new price, were united can't, due agreed & signed contract 2 years ago!, what the new price will be, will be between MSI & the new club that new price its very likely to less than £22m.
Tevez is the better all round player but Keane has a better eye for goal imo, well until this season anyway
